Installation Instructions for Ford Pickups (Except Ranger)
Part Numbers:

Wiring Access Location:
- PU1, PU2
Tools Required:
- Drill with 1/2" Drill Bit
- Wrenches: 3/4", 7/8"
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare Frame Rails:
- Remove any lumps of undercoating or dirt from the frame rails to ensure a clean surface for installation.

Position the Receiver:
- Place the receiver on the vehicle frame as shown in the diagram.
- Ensure the receiver is centered.

Drill Holes:
- Use the receiver as a template to mark and drill three (3) 1/2" holes into the bottom of each frame rail.

Install Fasteners:
- Position the blocks inside the vehicle frame.
- Secure the hitch using the provided hardware:
- Hex bolts
- Flat washers
- Lock washers
- Nuts
- Tighten all fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N*m).

Adjust Spare Tire (if applicable):
- For vehicles equipped with a 16" spare tire, adjust the spare tire cradle to ensure proper stowage under the vehicle after hitch installation.
Hardware List:
- (6) Hex Bolts, 1/2"-13 x 1-3/4" GR5
- (6) Spacer Blocks, 7/16" x 1" x 2"
- (6) Flat Washers
- (6) Lock Washers
- (6) Hex Nuts
Notes:
- Due to vehicle variation, it may be necessary to adjust the step bumper upward.
- Hitch requires a 5/8" pin and clip if a stabilizing pin is not installed.
Safety Notes:
- Frequently check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
