Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove the rearmost bolt at the end of the frame rail on both sides.
- Note: On some models, the rearmost bolts are connected with a plate. Remove and cut the plate midway between the bolts. Discard the rearmost section and reinstall the other bolt.

Position the hitch on the vehicle and install the 7/16" fasteners loosely.

For Different Year Models:
- 1995 and Earlier Models: Using the side bracket of the receiver as a template, drill two (2) holes into the bottom of the frame rail with a 1/2" bit. Repeat on the other side.
- 1996 Models: Using the side bracket of the receiver as a template, drill the forward attachment hole into the bottom of the frame rail with a 1/2" bit. Repeat on the other side.
- 1997 and Later Models: Align the hitch with the existing holes in the frame.

Install the remaining 1/2" fasteners as shown in the diagram.

Torque all hardware to the following specifications:
- 1/2" fasteners: 110 lb-ft.
- 7/16" fasteners: 70 lb-ft.

Locate the Vehicle's Taillight Wiring Harness:
- Under the driver side bumper, find the vehicle's taillight wiring harness connectors.
- These connectors will resemble those on the custom wiring harness.

Remove the Factory 7-Way Connector:
- Unscrew or unbolt the mounting hardware securing the factory 7-way connector to its bracket.
- Carefully remove the 7-way connector from the bracket.

Disconnect the 7-Way Connector:
- Gently press the red locking tab sideways to unlock the connector.
