It is also compatible with a weight distribution hitch for level towing and a rating of 5,000 lbs WD and 500 lbs WDTW.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Heat Shield (2002 and Earlier Models):
- Remove the heat shield using a 10mm socket. Set it aside for reinstallation.

Vehicles with Frame Weld Nuts:
- Raise the hitch into position and secure it using the M12 hex bolts and washers provided.
- Use the hitch as a template to mark and drill the center holes into the frame using a 7/16" drill bit.
- Install the 7/16-14 carriage bolts and CM-SP2 spacers through the drilled holes.

Vehicles Without Frame Weld Nuts:
- Fishwire the 7/16-14 carriage bolts and CM-SP2 square hole spacers through the existing access holes into position using the provided fishwire tool.
- Raise the hitch into place and secure it using the 7/16-14 serrated flange nuts.

Reinstall the Heat Shield:
- Trim the heat shield as necessary to allow clearance for the hitch.
- Reinstall the heat shield using the existing fasteners, except over the hitch bracket, where the provided M6 hex bolt and flat washer should be used.
- Torque the M6 bolt to 9 lb-ft.

Torque Fasteners:
- Torque all M12 fasteners to 79 lb-ft.
- Torque all 7/16" fasteners to 70 lb-ft.
