Installation Instructions for 2004-2005 Ford F-150
Part Numbers:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower the Exhaust:
- For ease of installation, lower the exhaust by removing the exhaust hangers from the frame.

Raise the Hitch into Position:
- Raise the hitch into position and insert the 5/8" hex bolts and washers through the factory chain loop holes and the hitch top plate.
- Secure these bolts with the provided 5/8" flange nuts. Finger-tighten to hold the hitch in place.

Install Rearmost Bolt and Spacer:
- Install the provided 5/8" carriage bolt and square hole spacer into the rearmost hole on the passenger-side frame rail and hitch side plate.
- Secure the bolt with a 5/8" flange nut and finger-tighten.

Fishwire Remaining Bolts:
- Use the provided 5/8" fishwire tool to fishwire the remaining 5/8" carriage bolts and spacers through the square access holes in the vehicle frame rails.
- Pull the bolts through the frame and out through the hitch side plate mounting holes.
- Secure the bolts with the provided 5/8" flange nuts.

Torque Fasteners:
- Torque all 5/8" fasteners to 210 lb-ft.

Reinstall Exhaust:
- Reattach the exhaust hangers removed in Step 1.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower the Exhaust:

For Vehicles Without a Factory 7-Way:

Access the Vehicle's Wiring Harness Connectors:
- Locate the connectors behind the driver's side rear bumper at position T3 as shown in the 'Wiring Location Guide'.

Disconnect the Negative Battery Terminal:
- Refer to the vehicle's owner's manual to locate the battery.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and secure it away from the battery during installation.

Prepare the Connector Housing:
- Remove and retain the protective cap from the housing.
- Ensure the mating surface is clean and free of rust or dirt.

Insert the T-Connector:
- Connect the T-connector housing into the vehicle's housing.
- Ensure connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.

Secure the Protective Cap:
- Place the previously removed protective cap onto the remaining plug end.
