Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower the DEF Tank (Diesel Models Only):
- Unclip the electrical connection on the passenger side of the DEF tank.
- Slide the clips off the rear studs securing the tank.
- Using a 13mm socket, remove the (2) rear stud posts and (2) forward hex bolts to allow the tank to lower slightly.
- Caution: Do not remove the filler pipe from the DEF tank. Support the tank as it may weigh up to 80 lbs.

Remove Existing Hardware:
- Remove the existing M14 bolts from the frame rails.
- There will be (4) or (6) bolts depending on the vehicle model.
- Retain (4) bolts for the hitch installation. Return any remaining bolts to the vehicle owner.
- If a factory tow loop is present, remove it before proceeding.
- Note: Trim any excess caulk on the frame rails if it interferes with the hitch installation.

Raise the Hitch into Position:
- Raise the hitch into position against the frame rails.
- Secure the hitch using the (4) M14 bolts removed in Step 2.

Torque Fasteners:
- Torque all M14 bolts to 126 ft-lbs using a torque wrench.

Reinstall DEF Tank (If Lowered):
- Reinstall the DEF tank and reconnect the electrical components.
- Torque the DEF tank studs to 21 ft-lbs and the hex bolts to 24 ft-lbs.
