Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Remove the exhaust brackets.
- Remove four bolts and lower the two rear exhaust brackets.
- Return the bolts to the owner.
Step 2: Position the hitch and mark drill holes.
- Raise the hitch into position and temporarily secure it to the existing weld nuts in the frame rails using four M8-1.25 hex bolts and 3/8" conical toothed washers.
- Use the hitch as a template to mark the drill locations on both sides.
Step 3: Drill the marked holes.
- Lower the hitch and drill holes at the marked locations.
Step 4: Enlarge the access holes.
- Enlarge the access holes to allow the 7/16"-14 carriage bolts and SP7 spacers to pass through.
Step 5: Fishwire bolts and spacers through the frame.
- Fishwire 7/16"-14 carriage bolts and SP7 spacers through the enlarged access holes and out through the drilled holes.
Step 6: Secure the hitch.
- Raise the hitch into position and loosely secure the rear-most holes with 7/16"-14 flange nuts.
- Place the hitch side plates against the frame rails, followed by the 11431-SP spacers, and then the exhaust brackets.
- Secure using the supplied M8-1.25 hex bolts and 3/8" conical toothed washers.
Step 7: Torque all hardware.
- Torque all M8 hardware to 23 ft-lbs.
- Torque all 7/16" hardware to 70 ft-lbs.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Disconnect the Battery
- Locate the vehicle battery on the driver side under the hood.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety during installation.
Step 2: Remove Trunk Floor Coverings
- Open the vehicle tailgate.
- Remove all trunk floor coverings and storage trays.
Step 3: Remove the Rear Scuff Panel
- Remove the push fasteners securing the rear scuff panel.
- Pull out on the bottom of the scuff panel, then lift it upward to remove it, being careful not to damage the alignment tabs.

- Use a sealant (not included) to seal the grommet where the wires pass through and where the grommet was cut.

- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing screw with nut in the vehicle frame.
- If no suitable point exists, drill a 3/32" pilot hole in a clean, rust-free, and paint-free area.
- Attach the white ground wire using the provided ring terminal and screw.

Step 9: Mount the Converter Box
- Locate a flat, clean spot inside the vehicle near the taillight.
- Use the provided double-sided tape to securely adhere the black converter box to this location.

- Repeat Steps 4–7 on the passenger side using the harness end with the green wire.
