Installation Instructions for Hyundai Palisade
Part Numbers:

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Lower Spare Tire
- Use an 11mm socket and ratchet to lower the spare tire.
- Place the spare tire off to the side.
Step 2: Remove Underbody Panel
- Remove three push clips securing the driver-side underbody panel.
- Use a 14mm socket to turn two plastic retainers counterclockwise.
- Set the panel aside for reinstallation.
Step 3: Lower Exhaust
- Unhook the four rearward-most exhaust isolators to lower the exhaust.
- Support the exhaust to avoid damage.
Step 4: Install Hitch
- Raise the hitch into position over the exhaust.
- Loosely install the fasteners into the existing vehicle weldnuts and tube spacers in the frame.
Step 5: Torque Hardware
- Torque all M12 fasteners to 79 lb-ft.
- Torque all M10 fasteners to 48 lb-ft.
Step 6: Reassemble Vehicle
- Reinstall the underbody panel, raise the spare tire back into position, and reinstall the exhaust isolators.

Locate the Connector:
- Find the vehicle taillight wiring harness connector near the rear tire on the passenger side, along the frame. The connector will resemble the one on the custom wiring harness.

Connect the Wiring Harness:
- Remove the protective cap from the vehicle's connector.
- Insert the custom wiring harness into the vehicle connector, ensuring it is fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
For Vehicles without Factory Tow Package:

Locate the Connector:
- Find the vehicle taillight wiring connector behind the rear tire on the driver side, on the outside frame rail. The connector will resemble the one on the custom wiring harness.

Connect the Wiring Harness:
- Remove the protective cap from the vehicle's connector.
- Insert the custom wiring harness into the vehicle connector, ensuring it is fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
For All Vehicles:

Route the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat connector to the center of the vehicle by going over the exhaust along the bumper.
- Avoid areas that may cut, pinch, or melt the wire.
- Secure any loose wires with the provided cable ties.

Mount the Converter Box:
- Locate a flat, clean surface that is out of the path of spray and debris from the rear wheels and road.
- Adhere the black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.
- Secure any loose wires with the provided cable ties.
Warning: Failure to mount the box in a protected area can cause loss of warranty, product failure, overheating, and potential fire.

Insert the Fuse:
- To complete the installation, insert the provided 10 AMP fuse into the in-line fuse holder.
Safety Notes:
- The battery connection must be fuse protected, 10 amp max.
- Exceeding the product rating can cause loss of warranty, overheating, and potential fire.
- Do not exceed product rating or tow vehicle lamp load rating, whichever is lower.
