Remove Spare Tire:
- Remove the spare tire and carrier from the vehicle.

Disconnect Exhaust Pipes (Dual Exhaust Models Only):
- Disconnect the clamp and drop the exhaust pipes on dual exhaust models.

Position Receiver:
- Position the receiver on the vehicle as shown, ensuring the receiver is centered.
- In some cases, it may align with existing holes in the frame. Remove any undercoating from the attachment surfaces.

Drill Holes:
- Use the receiver as a template to drill any remaining holes in the bottom of the frame rails with a 1/2" drill bit.

Install Fasteners:
- Install all fasteners as shown, placing blocks inside the vehicle frame.
- Tighten 1/2" Grade 5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft.

Reconnect Exhaust:
- Reconnect the exhaust pipes to the clamp.

Relocate Spare Tire:
- To retain under-box tire storage, the spare tire carrier must be relocated and/or modified.
Notes:
- For 1981 and Later Chevrolet & GMC with Step Bumpers:
- Remove support brackets to fit the hitch.
- Retain the brackets for reinstallation if the hitch is removed. Step bumpers should not be used for towing with these brackets removed.
Optional Accessories:
- J-Pin: Locking stabilizing pin (order separately).
Safety Notes:
- Ensure all fasteners are properly tightened to specified torque values.
- Inspect the hitch and fasteners regularly.
- Plug any holes in the trunk pan or body panels if the hitch is removed to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Locate the Vehicle’s Tail Light Wiring Harness:
- Find the wiring harness along the inside of the left rear frame rail.
- This harness will have a connection point with connectors matching the ends of the T-Connector.

Disconnect the Wiring Harness:
- Carefully separate the harness connectors, ensuring not to break the locking tabs.
- Check and clean the mating surfaces of the connectors if necessary.

Install the T-Connector Adapter:
- Insert the T-Connector adapter between the harness connectors.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are secured.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle's frame or crossmember.
- Clean the grounding area of dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire with the provided eyelet and screw.
