Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Vehicle Spare Tire (if present):
- Remove the vehicle's spare tire to provide clearance for hitch installation.

Remove Factory Bumper Brackets:
- Remove bumper brackets and ground wire bolt from the driver’s side frame bracket, if applicable.
- Retain these for reinstallation.

Position Hitch:
- Position the hitch on the vehicle frame.
- On 8' bed models, use the hitch as a template to drill forward attachment holes.

Install Fasteners:
- Secure the hitch using the provided hardware:
- 1/2"-13 x 1-3/4" GR5 carriage bolts.
- 1/4" x 1-1/2" x 2" blocks (3719, 1540).
- Lock washers and hex nuts.
- Ensure the fasteners are oriented as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
- Secure the hitch using the provided hardware:

Drill Forward Holes:
- Drill forward attachment holes through the frame using the hitch as a guide (on 8' bed models).

Reinstall Bumper Brackets:
- Reinstall the factory bumper brackets and ground wire bolt removed earlier.

Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten all 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft.
- Tighten M12 x 1.75 CL10.9 bolts to 75 lb-ft.

Check Clearance:
- Ensure there is clearance between the brake lines, axle tailpipe, and stowed spare tire.
- Relocate spare tire if necessary for proper clearance.

Raise Spare Tire:
- Reinstall the spare tire and confirm it is securely stowed.

- 1/2"-13 GR5 bolts: 75 lb-ft
- M12 x 1.75 CL10.9 bolts: 75 lb-ft

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter

Wiring Access Location:
- Left rear frame rail of the vehicle.
Tools Required:
- Electrical tape or tie straps (not supplied).
- Drill with a 3/32" drill bit.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness along the inside of the left rear frame rail.
- This harness will have a connection point with connectors matching the ends of the T-connector adapter.

Separate the harness connectors.
- Note: Be careful not to break the locking tabs.
- Ensure that the mating surfaces of the connectors are free of dirt and clean them if necessary.

Insert the T-connector adapter between the harness connectors and lock into place.
- Verify that the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs secure.

Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle's frame or crossmember.
- Note: Do not drill into the vehicle floor or bed.
- Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area.
