Installation Instructions for Ford F-250 & F-350 Super Duty, Excursion (All Models), F-350, F-450, & F-550 Cab & Chassis (34" Frame)

Tools Required:
- 3/4" Wrench
- 15mm Wrench
- 18mm Wrench
- Torque Wrench
- 5/8" Drill Bit
Parts List:
- (4) 1/2"-13 x 1-3/4" Hex Bolts
- (4) 1/2" Conical Washers
- (4) 1/2" Handle Nuts
- (4) 1-1/2" x 2" x 1/4" Spacers
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Bumper Bolts and Bumper:
- Remove the (6) bumper bolts and carefully detach the bumper.
- Remove (2) shim plates if present and set them aside.

Remove Tow Hooks:
- Remove the OEM tow hooks if present.
- Retain the tow hooks for reinstallation in a later step.

Position Receiver in Bumper:
- Place the bumper on a protected surface to prevent scratches.
- Position the receiver inside the bumper as shown in Figure 2.

Loosen and Remove Lower Front Cross Member:
- Loosen the (6) nuts securing the lower front cross member and remove it.

Mark and Drill Bumper Holes:
- Center the receiver’s hole pattern side-to-side with the bumper hole pattern.
- Mark the drill hole locations in the center of the receiver slots.
- Remove the receiver from the bumper and drill the marked holes using a 5/8" drill bit.

Install Receiver to Frame:
- Place the receiver on the vehicle frame.
- Reinstall the lower front cross member if it was removed in Step 4.

Reinstall OEM Tow Hooks:
- Reattach the OEM tow hooks that were removed in Step 2.

Reinstall the Bumper:
- Reinstall the bumper using the (4) fasteners removed in Step 1.
- Do not reinstall the shim plates.

Secure Remaining Hardware:
- Install the remaining fasteners as shown in Figure 1.
- Caution: Hold the driver’s side handle nuts in place to prevent them from rotating into the air conditioning condenser.

Torque All Fasteners:
- Tighten all fasteners to 50 ft-lbs (68 N-m) using a torque wrench.
Safety Notes:
- Periodically check the receiver to ensure all fasteners are tight and structural components are sound.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in body panels to prevent water or exhaust fume intrusion.
- Warning: Do not exceed the vehicle's Front Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR).
- Maximum Cargo Capacity: 500 lbs.
- Maximum Winch Line Pull: 9,000 lbs.

- Observe proper safety precautions, including wearing eye protection when working beneath the vehicle.
- Do not cut holes using a torch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

- Remove the (6) bumper bolts and carefully detach the bumper.
