Installation Instructions for Ford F-150 (Front Mounted Receiver)
Includes XL, XLT, STX, FX2, FX4, EcoBoost, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, SVT Raptor, and Harley-Davidson models

Tools Required:
- 3/4” Wrench
- 7/8” Wrench
- 15/16” Wrench
- 15mm Wrench (for air dam removal)
- Torque Wrench
- Utility Knife (for fascia trimming)
- Tape
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Trim or Remove the Fascia (As Needed):
- Trim the fascia as follows:
- For 4WD models: Trim 1-3/8" up from the bottom, 3-1/2" wide.
- For 2WD models: Trim 1" up from the bottom, 3-1/2" wide.
- For 2011 and newer models: Remove the air dam using a 15mm wrench to loosen the (2) nuts holding it.
- Trim the fascia as follows:

Install the Long Bolts and Spacer Tubes:
- Insert the 1/2”-13 x 6” hex bolts with 1/2” conical washers through the 1” diameter holes on the inside of the truck frame rails.
- Slide the spacer tubes onto the bolts from the outside of the frame rails.

Secure Flat Washers to Frame Rails:
- Tape the 1/2” flat washers over the depressions on the outside of the truck frame rails.
- Pull the bolts back gently so the ends of the bolts are even with the washers.

Raise the Hitch into Position:
- Carefully raise the hitch into place while ensuring the taped washers remain in position.

Fishwire Carriage Bolts Into Frame Slots:
- Use the 5/8” bolt leaders to pull the 5/8”-11 x 2” carriage bolts through the frame slots and the hitch.
- Ensure the square shoulders of the carriage bolts engage properly with the sides of the frame slots.
- Use the frame access slots to fishwire the bolts.
- Note: It may be necessary to slightly file the frame slots to allow the bolts to pass through. Alternatively, pull the bolts through the end of the frame above recovery eyes on 4WD models.

Secure and Torque All Fasteners:
- Install the supplied 5/8” conical washers and 5/8” hex nuts on the carriage bolts.
- Tighten all fasteners as follows:
- 5/8” GR5 fasteners: 150 lb-ft (203 N-m)
- 1/2” GR5 fasteners: 75 lb-ft (102 N-m)

Recheck and Finish Installation:
- Ensure all fasteners are properly torqued.
- Verify clearance and reinstall or trim any necessary components.

Safety Notes:
- Periodically check the hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and structural components are sound.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the frame to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Warning: Do not exceed the vehicle’s Front Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR).
- Maximum Cargo Capacity: 500 lbs.
- Maximum Winch Line Pull: 9,000 lbs.
- Replace any damaged hitch or components immediately.
Manufacturer Notes:
- Follow proper safety precautions, including wearing eye protection when working under the vehicle.
- Do NOT use a torch to enlarge or cut access holes.
- This product complies with SAE J684 and VESC Regulation V-5 safety standards.
