Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Notify Vehicle Owner:

   • Inform the vehicle owner that minor trimming of the fascia is required for proper hitch installation.

2. Mark Trimming Area:

   • Using a felt-tipped pen, measure and mark the area to be trimmed on the bottom inside section of the license plate mounting area, as described in Figure 1.

3. Trim the Fascia:

   • Carefully cut out the marked area of the fascia using a utility knife.

4. Position the Hitch:

   • Raise the hitch into position, aligning the holes in the hitch with the two rearmost weldnuts in the bottom of the frame rail on both sides.

5. Install Fasteners:

   • Loosely install the M12 hex bolts and conical toothed washers (4 total).
   • Center the hitch on the fasteners.

6. Tighten Fasteners:

   • Using a torque wrench, tighten all M12 CL8.8 fasteners to 76 lb-ft (102 N·m).

• (4) M12 x 1.25 x 35mm CL8.8 Hex Bolts
• (4) Conical Toothed Washers

• Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Open the Rear Hatch:

   • Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate, storage covers, jack, and floor covering.

2. Partially Remove Rear Interior Trim Panels:

   • On both the driver and passenger sides, remove the panels to expose the taillight wiring harness.

3. Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:

   • Find the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness on both sides. It will have a connection point matching the T-Connector ends.
   • Separate the connectors carefully, ensuring all surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

4. Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle’s wiring connectors.
   • Ensure connectors are fully inserted and locking tabs are secure.

5. Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Route the T-Connector end with the green wire to the passenger’s side behind the panels and along the threshold.
   • Repeat Step 4 for the green wire T-Connector.

6. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector. Avoid drilling into the vehicle floor or bed.
   • Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing. Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

   Caution: Verify the area behind any surface before drilling to prevent damage or injury.

7. Mount the T-Connector Black Box:

   • Clean a flat area with rubbing alcohol and water.
   • Mount the black box using the provided double-sided tape or cable ties.
   • Secure the remaining harness with cable ties, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wires.

8. Reassemble the Vehicle:

   • Reinstall the trim panels, threshold, storage covers, and floor covering, ensuring no wires are pinched or damaged.
