Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Tow Hook (if present):
- Remove the two bolts securing the tow hook to the frame rail.
- Lower the exhaust by detaching the rubber isolators in two locations.
- Remove the nuts holding the heat shield in place. Keep the nut on the frame rail for reinstallation. Return the tow hook and fasteners to the vehicle owner.

Lower Exhaust:
- Detach the rubber exhaust hangers to lower the rear portion of the exhaust system.

Remove Heat Shield Nuts:
- Remove the outboard nuts holding the heat shield in place on both sides. Retain the nuts for reinstallation.

Position Hitch:
- Rotate the hitch into position over the exhaust and align the hitch slots with the existing weld nuts on the frame.
- Ensure the hitch is placed between the heat shield and the frame rails.

Install Fasteners:
- Secure the hitch using M10 x 1.25 x 40mm bolts and conical washers into the existing weld nuts.

Reinstall Heat Shield Nuts:
- Reattach the heat shield using the previously removed nuts.

Raise Exhaust:
- Reinstall the exhaust hangers and ensure the exhaust system is securely back in position.

Torque Fasteners:
- Using a torque wrench, tighten all M10 CL10.9 fasteners to 58 lb-ft (79 N·m).

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access the Vehicle Wiring:
- Kia Sorento: Lower the spare tire to access the vehicle wiring.
- Hyundai Veracruz: Locate the access hole inside the bumper support channel, above the passenger side exhaust, and route the T-Connector harness plugs through the hole.

Locate the Tow-Plug Harness:
- Kia Sorento: On the passenger side, on top of the frame rail near the rear tire, locate the vehicle’s Tow-Plug harness. If covered by a protective cover, remove the plastic trim fasteners to access the harness.
- Hyundai Veracruz: Find the Tow-Plug harness on the passenger side frame near the rear tire. Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

Connect the T-Connector:
- Remove the protective caps from the vehicle’s tow plug harness.
- Insert the T-Connector harness into the vehicle’s Tow-Plug harness and lock it into place.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs secure.

Route the T-Connector Wiring:
- Kia Sorento: Route the T-Connector harness rearward to the back of the fascia and along the inside of the bumper toward the center of the vehicle.
- Hyundai Veracruz: Route the T-Connector harness along the inside of the bumper support channel toward the center of the vehicle.
Warning:
- Route the wire carefully to avoid hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any other points that may pinch or break the wire.

Mount the Black Box:
- Use the provided double-sided tape to mount the T-Connector black box on the bumper support channel.
- Secure all loose wires with cable ties to prevent damage or rattling.

- Test and verify the installation with a test light or trailer.
