- Phillips Head Screwdriver

Wiring Access Location:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Plastic Appearance Panels:
- Remove the plastic appearance panels covering the driver’s and passenger’s side frame rails.
- Return the panels and fasteners to the vehicle owner.

Remove Tow Hooks:
- Remove the tow hooks from each frame rail.
- Return the hooks and fasteners to the vehicle owner.

Position the Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning it with the existing weldnuts in the vehicle frame.

Install Fasteners:
- Secure the hitch using six (6) M10 x 1.25 x 30mm hex bolts and six (6) 3/8” conical toothed washers as shown.

Torque Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M10 x 1.25 CL10.9 fasteners to 42 lb-ft (57 N·m).
Hardware List:
- (6) M10 x 1.25 x 30mm CL10.9 Hex Bolts
- (6) 3/8” Conical Toothed Washers
Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Follow all safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle, and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
