Installation Instructions for Ford F-150
Part Numbers:

Tools Required:
- Wrenches: Open-end 3/4” and 7/8”
Wiring Access Location:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Position the Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position as shown in Figure 1.
- Use the fasteners to attach the hitch uprights to the bumper bracket.

Install Remaining Fasteners:
- Attach the remaining fasteners as shown in the instructions.
- Ensure the round spacer washer (Item 4) fits into the slot on the bumper bracket and is sandwiched between the bumper and hitch brackets.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all 1/2” GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m) using a torque wrench.

Reinstall Spare Tire:
- If the spare tire was removed for installation, reinstall it. Ensure the spare tire does not contact the bolts.

- (4) 1/2”-13 x 2.0” GR5 Hex Bolts
- (8) 1/2” Conical Washers
- (4) 1/2”-13 Hex Nuts
- (2) Round Spacers
- (2) Spacers 1/4” x 2.50” x 1.75”
Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Follow safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle, and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
