Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove OE Tow Bar Bracket:
- If equipped, remove the existing tow bar bracket.

Position the Hitch:
- Align the hitch on the frame rail as shown in the diagrams.
-
Install M12 Fasteners:
- Attach the hitch to the frame rail using M12 x 1.75mm hex bolts and 1/2” conical washers. Hand-tighten to hold the hitch in place.

Install Blocks and Carriage Bolts:
- Use the pull wire procedure to install 7/16” carriage bolts and blocks. Leave the pull wires attached.

Position Fasteners Using Pull Wires:
- Use the pull wires to insert the 7/16” carriage bolts through the hitch’s attachment holes. Remove the pull wires.

Attach 7/16” Hardware:
- Secure the hitch using 7/16” conical washers and hex nuts.

Install Nut-Block-Handle Assemblies:
- Insert the nut-block-handle assemblies through the rear opening of the frame rails. Position them over the rear-most holes and ensure they lie flat against the frame rail.

Secure Nut-Block-Handle Assemblies:
- While holding the nut-block-handle assemblies in place, install the M12 x 1.25mm hex bolts and 1/2” conical washers.

Torque All Fasteners:
- Tighten fasteners to the specified torque values:
- M12 x 1.25mm CL10.9: 130 lb-ft (176 N*m)
- M12 x 1.75mm CL10.9: 92 lb-ft (125 N*m)
- 7/16” GR5: 50 lb-ft (68 N*m)
- Tighten fasteners to the specified torque values:

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Ford Ranger
Part Numbers:

- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Locate the Vehicle’s Wiring Harness:
- Locate the taillight wiring harness near the rear of the frame. This harness will have connection points on both sides of the frame with connectors matching the T-Connector adapter.

Separate the Connections:
- Carefully separate the connections without breaking the locking tabs.
- Ensure that all surfaces are clean and free of dirt.
-
Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver-side wiring connections.
- Ensure the T-Connector is fully inserted, and the locking tabs are secure.

Route the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat connector to the center of the vehicle.
- Secure the black box to the vehicle using the cable tie provided.
- Use additional cable ties to secure the T-Connector harness, preventing damage or rattling. Avoid areas that could pinch or cut the wire.
Warning:
- Ensure the epoxy side of the black box module is pointed towards the ground to prevent water buildup.
- When mounting under the vehicle, make sure the module is in a protected area safe from road debris.

Connect the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Repeat step 3 on the passenger side, connecting the T-Connector with the green wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the adapter, such as the vehicle frame or crossmember.
- Do not drill into the vehicle floor or bed.
- Clean the area and drill a 3/32” hole. Secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution:
- Verify the area behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Connect the Black Power Wire:
- Locate the black 12-gauge power wire from the T-Connector box on the driver’s side.
- Attach the provided black wire and route it along the exterior frame or existing wiring to the engine compartment and battery.
Warning:
- Avoid routing near hot pipes, heat shields, or areas where the wire could be pinched.

Connect to the Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder. Attach the ring terminal to the vehicle’s positive (+) battery cable and secure it.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the provided yellow butt connector.

Reconnect the Battery:
- Reconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable and install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
Warning:
- All connections must be complete for proper functionality. Test the installation with a test light or trailer.
