Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Fascia:
- Using a T25 Torx bit, remove (4) screws from the rear bottom fascia.
- Remove (1) screw and (1) plastic flange nut from the wheel well liner on both sides using a T25 Torx bit and a 10mm socket.
- Using plastic trim tools, remove the lower part of the wheel well trim by unclipping the tabs and gently pulling outward on both sides.
- Remove (3) screws located vertically behind the wheel well liner and (1) screw behind the wheel well trim using a T25 Torx bit. Repeat on both sides.
- Open the liftgate. Remove (2) round plastic screws near the trunk weather seal using a T25 Torx bit. Remove the rear cargo flooring.
- Using a panel removal tool, remove the scuff plate by unclipping the tabs and pulling upward. Remove (2) flange nuts from recessed bumper fascia studs beneath the scuff plate using a 10mm socket.
- Remove the driver-side interior panel. If present, unclip (2) wiring harnesses. Remove (1) flange nut from the bumper fascia stud behind insulation using a 10mm socket. Repeat for the passenger side without removing any wiring harness.
- Using a plastic trim panel tool, remove the fascia starting from the wheel wells and gently pulling outward.

Remove Bumper Beam:
- Using a 16mm socket, remove (8) M10 factory bolts securing the bumper beam and crossbar above the bumper beam.
- Return the bumper beam and crossbar to the owner.

Install Hitch:
- Apply silicone sealant around the openings on the end panels on both sides.
- Raise the hitch into position and loosely install (8) existing factory M10 bolts through the hitch.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Tighten all M10 fasteners to 53 lb-ft (72 N·m) using a torque wrench.

Trim Fascia:
- Using tape and a utility knife, cut a notch in the lower fascia as shown in the provided diagram. Avoid cutting any wiring behind the center lower fascia.

Reinstall Components:
- Reverse the steps in Step 1 to reinstall all fasteners, wiring harnesses, panels, rubber plugs, scuff plate, wheel well trim, and fascia.
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect the hitch and ensure all fasteners are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other panels to prevent water or exhaust fume entry.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Wear safety glasses and observe all precautions when working under a vehicle.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Tow Vehicle Inputs - Determination:
- Disconnect and isolate the vehicle's negative battery terminal.
- Warning: Read and follow all warnings and instructions on the tow vehicle's battery.
- Splice the tow harness input wires to the vehicle as determined.
- Caution: Use appropriate gauge wire splices. Blue taps are for 16-18 gauge wires only.
Harness Installation:
- Determine the mounting location of the module and secure it using the double-sided tape provided.
- Warning: Mount the module with the epoxy side pointed towards the ground to prevent water buildup.
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the module, such as an existing ground stud, or drill a 3/32” hole to secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Caution: Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or personal injury.
- Route the power wire to the vehicle’s positive battery terminal. Use the provided fuse holder, butt connector, and ring terminal to connect to the battery.
- Do not insert the 15 amp fuse yet.
- Caution: Ensure the module is connected to a constant power source and avoid routing the wire near hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or pinch points.
Completion:
- Secure the harness with cable ties provided to prevent damage or rattling.
- Reconnect the vehicle's negative battery cable.
- Insert the 15 amp fuse into the fuse holder and close the cap.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer. Check each function independently and in combination.
