Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Remove Fascia:
- Remove (4) screws from each wheel well using a T15 star bit.
- Remove (2) screws from the bottom of the rear bumper fascia.
- Remove (1) bolt from each side under the wheel well liner using a 7 mm socket.
- Remove (1) screw from each side in the trunk using a T20 star bit.
- Detach the fascia carefully, disconnecting (1) electrical connector on the passenger side before fully removing it.
2. Remove Bumper:
- Remove (2) nuts from the top of the bumper flange on each side using a 15 mm socket.
- Remove (2) bolts from each side using a 13 mm socket.
- Detach the exhaust bracket and urea tank bracket, and remove the bumper.
3. Lower Urea Tank:
- Remove (4) push pins from the urea tank cover using a flat head screwdriver.
- Disconnect (3) electrical connectors from the urea tank.
- Remove (1) bolt from the electrical box using an 8 mm socket and let the wires hang.
- Remove (3) bolts securing the urea tank using a 13 mm socket. Support the tank while lowering.
4. Install Hitch:
- Rear Attachment: Fishwire a carriage bolt and spacer block through the frame, and loosely attach the conical washer and hex nut.
- Forward Attachment: Bend a handle nut as needed, insert it into the frame rail, and loosely install the bolt with a conical washer.
5. Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all 1/2" handle nut fasteners to 50 ft-lb (68 N·m) and 1/2" carriage bolts to 75 ft-lb (102 N·m).
6. Trim Fascia:
- Trim a 5" × 3.75" rectangle from the center of the bottom of the fascia using a utility knife.
7. Reinstall Components:
- Reverse Steps 3 through 1 to reinstall the urea tank, brackets, exhaust hangers, and fascia.
- Note: The bumper is not reinstalled and should be returned to the vehicle owner.

Safety Notes:
- Always wear safety glasses during installation.
- Regularly inspect the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the hitch ball are securely tightened.
- Plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels if the hitch is removed to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering the vehicle.
- Replace any damaged hitch or hitch ball before use.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for GMC Terrain

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove the Taillight Assemblies:
- Open the rear tailgate and access the bolts holding the taillights.
- Remove the two Torx T10 screws on both driver and passenger sides.
- Carefully pull the taillights away from the vehicle, ensuring not to damage the alignment pins. Set the housings aside.

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both sides of the vehicle, locate the taillight wiring harness matching the T-One® Connector ends.
- Disconnect the connectors carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs. Clean all connector surfaces of dirt.

Mount the T-One® Black Box:
- Underneath the vehicle, determine a suitable mounting point behind the rear bumper fascia on the driver’s side.
- Mount the T-One® Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
- Ensure the module's epoxy side faces downward to prevent water accumulation.

Route the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the bumper and vehicle body to the driver’s side taillight pocket.
- Connect the yellow wire end between the taillight socket and vehicle wiring harness.

Route and Connect the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-One® Connector end with the green wire underneath the bumper to the passenger side.
- Route the green wire through the passenger-side opening, avoiding hot pipes, heat shields, or the fuel tank.
- Connect the green wire end between the taillight socket and the vehicle wiring harness.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle frame.
- Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area, drill a 3/32” hole, and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

Route the Power Wire:
- On the driver’s side, locate the black 12-gauge power wire from the T-One® Connector box.
- Attach the provided black wire and route it along the vehicle's frame or existing wiring to the engine compartment.
Warning: Avoid hot pipes, heat shields, or areas that may pinch the wire.

Connect to the Battery:
- Disconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
- Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the provided yellow butt connector.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer.

Secure the Wiring Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-One® Connector harness, avoiding areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Reinstall the taillight assemblies, threshold, storage covers, and any removed components, ensuring no wires are pinched or damaged.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat connector underneath and to the center of the vehicle.
- Mount the 4-flat connector in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).
