Installation Instructions for 25,000 lb Square Tube Jack
General Installation Notes:
- Follow these instructions carefully without modifications or alterations.
- Do not place any part of your body under the jack or the load being supported.
- Fully retract and/or rotate the jack before towing.
- Verify the drop leg pin is fully inserted before using the jack.
- Block wheels to prevent rolling during operation.
- Never exceed the maximum rated capacity as marked on the product.
- Avoid excessive side forces to prevent jack failure.
- Replace any bent, broken, or worn parts before use.
- Use only on flat surfaces. For tandem applications, align jacks to share the load equally.
- All welding must be performed by an AWS-certified welder.
- Before installation, check for interference in all positions, including handle swing (for both gears) and swivel positions.
- Verify there is no interference after installation is complete.
Tools Required:
- Torque wrench
- Welding equipment (if applicable)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Direct Mount to Load-Bearing Member:
- All welding must be performed by an AWS-certified welder.
- Apply three 2-inch-long 1/4” fillet welds on both sides of the jack along the contacting surface. Space welds as far apart as possible for maximum load strength.
- For tandem applications, align jacks carefully to ensure they raise and lower together, sharing the load equally.
Weld-On Pivot Tube Mounting:
- Weld the non-beveled side of the pivot tube to the trailer tongue using a 1/4” fillet weld.
- Align the pivot mount holes vertically.
- Mate the jack to the pivot tube and secure it with the supplied pin.
Drop Leg Operation:
Spring Return Drop Leg:
- Ensure the jack is not under load.
- Place your foot on the footplate to control the drop leg's return.
- Rotate the drop leg pin handle to disengage, then carefully move the leg to the desired position.
- Rotate the pin handle to engage it into the adjustment holes and ensure it is fully seated.
- Check for no clearance between the pin handle and the cam slot. If not fully engaged, do not use the jack.
Non-Spring Return Drop Leg:
- Ensure the jack is not under load.
- Grasp the handle of the footplate to control the descent of the drop leg.
- Rotate the drop leg pin handle to disengage and move the leg to the desired position.
- Rotate the pin handle to engage it into the adjustment holes and ensure it is fully seated.
- Check for no clearance between the pin handle and the cam slot. If not fully engaged, do not use the jack.
Maintenance:
- Annually lubricate gears, bushings, and screws with automotive EP2 grease.
- For side-wind models, use a grease gun at lubrication points near the input shaft.
- Apply lightweight oil to the input shaft bushings and drop leg pin assembly.
- Keep the drop leg pin and twin cam mechanism clean and lubricated monthly.
Safety Notes:
- Fully retract and rotate the jack before towing.
- Keep clear of pinch points and moving components during operation.
- Do not adjust the drop leg while the jack is under load.
Limited Warranty:
- Coverage: 5 years against material defects under normal use.
- Exclusions: Normal wear and tear, misuse, overloading, improper installation, and unauthorized modifications.

Installation Instructions for Powered Drive for Jacks
Tools Required:
- Welding equipment (performed by an AWS-certified welder)
- Standard tools for bolts, nuts, and wiring
Safety Instructions:
- Never position any part of the body under the jack or supported load.
- Fully retract and/or rotate the jack before towing.
- Ensure the drop leg pin is fully inserted before using the jack.
- Avoid excessive side forces to prevent jack failure.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable before installation to prevent electrical shock.
- Replace bent, broken, or worn parts before use.
Installation Instructions:
Step 1: Remove the Jack Cross Shaft
- If the jack has non-welded hex bushings, consult the manufacturer's service bulletin for instructions.
- For planetary two-speed jacks, refer to the manufacturer's guidelines or specific service bulletins.
Step 2: Install the Powered Drive
- Temporarily replace the jack cross shaft with the powered drive/shaft assembly.
- Install the shaft on the non-geared side of the jack, ensuring the motor is facing downward and within the jack's profile.
Step 3: Position the Torque Stop Tube
- With the powered drive temporarily installed, use it to locate the torque stop tube on the jack's outer tube.
- Mark the location of the torque stop tube and weld it to the jack's outer tube using AWS-certified welding procedures.
Step 4: Final Assembly
- Reinstall the powered drive/shaft and place the energy-absorbing rubber bumper into the torque stop tube to prevent motor rotation.
- Attach the powered drive cover using 1/4” x 1” bolts and rubber-bonded washers. Torque bolts to 6 ft-lbs.
- Optionally, apply thread lock to the bolts.
Step 5: Tandem Jack Systems
- Use the included hex coupling to connect tandem jacks.
- Weld the coupling to a 1” Schedule 40 pipe and cross-drill a 3/8” hole to secure the second jack's cross shaft with a bolt and locknut.
Wiring Instructions:
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Attach the terminal box to the trailer for connection of powered drive and harness leads.
- Route and secure all leads using non-split tubing or loom.
- Mount the switch box at a convenient location on the trailer.
- Reconnect the battery ground cable and test the powered drive operation.
- Seal all terminal box entrances with sealant to protect the wiring.
Operation:
- Raising the Trailer: Extend the drop leg and fully engage the pin. Press the "RAISE" switch until the trailer is fully lifted.
- Lowering the Trailer: Press the "LOWER" switch until the trailer rests on the ball and the jack is no longer under load.
- In the event of power loss, reset the breaker or manually crank the jack using the powered drive assembly.
Maintenance:
- The powered drive is sealed and maintenance-free.
- Regularly maintain the jack and battery system. Ensure all connections are tight and free of corrosion.
- Fully charge the battery before use.
Limited Warranty:
- 5-Year Limited Warranty: Covers material and workmanship defects under normal use.
- Excludes normal wear, misuse, or improper installation.
