Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Spare Tire (Optional):
- Lower the spare tire to simplify installation. This step is not mandatory but recommended.

Remove Existing Bolts:
- Remove the bottom M14 bolts from the frame, which help attach the bumper brackets.
- Remove the side M12 nuts and bolt plates from the frame. Retain these for reinstallation.

Adjust Bumper Braces (2001–2007 Models Only):
- Loosen the nuts at the bumper end of the bumper brace to allow it to swing away from the frame.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and loosely install M14 coarse-thread fasteners (Items 6, 4, and 7) into the weld nut in the bumper bracket.

Install Attachment Bar:
- Place the attachment bar as shown in Figure 1 and loosely bolt it to the hitch.

Reinstall Bumper Braces (if applicable):
- Swing the bumper braces back into position and reinstall the bolt plates removed earlier.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Tighten all fasteners as shown in Figure 1. Ensure they are torqued correctly:
- M14 x 2.0 bolts: 115 lb-ft (156 N*m)
- M14 x 1.5 bolts: 145 lb-ft (201 N*m)
- M12 x 1.75 bolts: 92 lb-ft (125 N*m)
- Tighten all fasteners as shown in Figure 1. Ensure they are torqued correctly:

Raise Spare Tire:
- If the spare tire was lowered, raise it back into position.
Torque Specifications:
- M14 x 2.0 bolts: 115 lb-ft (156 N*m)
- M14 x 1.5 bolts: 145 lb-ft (201 N*m)
- M12 x 1.75 bolts: 92 lb-ft (125 N*m)
