Installation Instructions for Ford Super Duty (F-250, F-350, F-450) Front Mounted Receiver
Part Numbers:

Tools Required:
- Ratchet
- Torque Wrench
- 18mm Socket
- 3/4” Socket
- Tape Measure
- Marker
- Utility Knife
- Plastic Trim Tools
- Die Grinder or Drill with 1/4” Bit (Optional)
- Safety Glasses
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Trim or Remove Lower Air Dam:
- Mark the centerline on the vehicle’s air dam.
- From the bottom edge, measure 1-5/8” up and mark.
- From the centerline, mark 1-3/4” to each side and 3-1/2” back.
- Drill small holes at the corners, then trim out the marked section using a utility knife.
- Obtain owner approval before trimming.

Remove Electrical (If Present):
- Disconnect the electrical plug on the driver’s frame rail.

Loosen Skid Bracket Flange Nuts (If Present):
- Use an 18mm socket to loosen the outer flange nuts on the skid plate brackets attached to the frame rails.

Remove Inner Flange Nuts and Bolts:
- Remove the inner flange nuts and bolts securing the skid brackets.
- Use the provided fish wire to remove bolts by feeding through the frame rail.

Install Bottom Fasteners:
- Use the fish wire to feed the 1/2”-13 x 2.00” carriage bolts and spacers through the bottom frame attachment holes.
- Leave the fish wires attached for now.

Install Side Fasteners:
- Repeat the fish wire process to feed the carriage bolts and spacers through the side skid plate holes into the frame rails.
- Leave the fish wires attached temporarily.

Install the Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, carefully avoiding cooling lines on the passenger side.
- Feed the receiver tube through the trimmed hole in the air dam.
- Line up the hitch holes with the frame and skid plate holes.
- Pull carriage bolts back through the frame, skid plate, and hitch brackets.
- Install conical washers (teeth side toward hitch) and hex nuts. Remove the fish wires.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all 1/2”-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N-m).

Reattach Electrical (If Removed):
- Reconnect the electrical plug on the driver’s frame rail.

Tighten Skid Bracket Flange Nuts (If Present):
- Tighten the outer flange nuts to secure the skid plate.

- (6) 1/2”-13 x 2.00” Carriage Bolts (Grade 5)
- (4) Spacers (.250 x 1 x 3)
- (6) Conical Washers (1/2”)
- (6) 1/2”-13 Hex Nuts (Grade 5)
- (2) Spacers (.250 x 1 x 3.25)
- (6) Fish Wires (1/2”-13)
Safety Notes:
- Periodically check the hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and components remain secure.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the frame to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering the vehicle.
- Warning: Do not exceed the vehicle’s Front Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR).
- Maximum Cargo Capacity: 500 lbs.
- Maximum Winch Line Pull: 9,000 lbs.

- Always wear eye protection when working under the vehicle.
- Do NOT use a torch to cut or enlarge holes in the frame.
