Installation Instructions for Ford Econoline (Front Mounted Receiver)
Part Numbers:

Tools Required:
- Ratchet
- Torque Wrench
- 7/8" Wrench
- Drill
- 1/2" Drill Bit
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Plastic Rivets (If Present):
- Remove any plastic rivets from the forward attachment point on the vehicle.

Enlarge Forward Hole:
- Use a 1/2" drill bit to enlarge the forward hole on the vehicle's frame.

Fishwire Carriage Bolts and Spacers:
- Use the supplied pull wire to feed the 1/2"-13 x 1-3/4" carriage bolts and 1/4” x 1” x 3” spacers through the access hole into the mounting location.
- Refer to the Fishwire Technique Diagram for proper guidance.

Raise the Hitch into Position:
- Position the hitch receiver into place on the vehicle frame.
- Fasten the hitch using the supplied hardware:
- 1/2"-13 hex nuts
- 1/2" conical toothed washers

Torque Fasteners:
- Torque all 1/2" Grade 5 fasteners to 75 ft-lbs (102 N-m) using a torque wrench.
Hardware List:
- (4) 1/2"-13 x 1-3/4" Carriage Bolts
- (4) 1/2" Conical Toothed Washers
- (4) 1/2"-13 Hex Nuts
- (4) 1/4” x 1” x 3” Spacers
- (2) Pull Wire Tools
Safety Notes:
- Periodically check this receiver hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and structural components are sound.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the vehicle's body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Warning: Do not cut access or mounting holes using a torch.
- Damaged hitches or balls must be replaced immediately.
