Installation Instructions for F2 Trailer Jack
General Installation Notes:
- Verify no interference from the tow vehicle, tongue, ground, or other mounted accessories, whether stationary or in motion.
- Check for interference in all positions, including handle swing and swivel positions, before and after installation.
- Swivel mount height is pre-set by the factory for most applications.
Tools Required:
- Torque wrench
- Ratchet set
- 3/8” bolts with lock washers
- 1/2” bolt
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Weld-On Mounting Plate:
- The mounting plate is included only on weld-on models.
- All welding must be performed by a certified professional.
- Position the plate flat against the trailer with the top aligned flush with the trailer tube's top.
- Weld completely around using a 3/16” fillet weld.
Adjusting Swivel Mount Height (If Necessary):
- Remove the jack from the trailer and loosen the two swivel fasteners until the slide block moves freely along the outer tube.
- Rotate the swivel bracket to the horizontal (3” mounting) position to access the upper bolt.
- Adjust the swivel mount to the desired location and re-torque to 60-70 ft-lbs.
- Check for proper swivel and pin engagement after adjustment.
Bolt-On Installation:
- Available for 3"x3", 3"x4", or 3"x5" trailer tubes only.
- Position the swivel bracket and U-bolts for proper mounting to the trailer.
- Tighten nuts and torque to 20-25 ft-lbs.
Optional Wheel Wedge:
- Assemble the optional wheel wedge as shown in the manual and torque to 6-9 in-lbs.
- To activate, press downward until the wedge locks into place.
- To release, lift up until the pressure is removed from the wheels.
- Note: The wheel wedge is not intended to act as a wheel brake or stop.
Footplate Assembly:
- Thread the footplate into the bottom of the jack tube.
- Torque the footplate to 60-70 ft-lbs.
Maintenance:
- Clean with mild soap and water occasionally.
- Apply light oil lubrication to pivot points to prolong performance and appearance.
Safety Notes:
- Fully retract the jack and rotate it into the stowed position before towing.
- Do not exceed the rated capacity.
- Avoid excessive side forces to prevent jack failure.
- Replace bent, broken, or worn parts before use.
