Step-by-Step Instructions:
Bolt-On Rack Jack Installation:
- Place the gear housing on the tongue and insert the supplied bolts into the holes corresponding to the tongue width.
- Position the mounting bracket below the tongue with the flat surface against it.
- Secure with locknuts and torque to 25 ft-lbs.
Bolt-On Mounting Bracket Instructions:
- Ensure the correct mounting hole pattern for your tongue size, keeping the gap between the mounting bolts and tongue under 1/16".
- Place the jack against the tongue and position the mounting straps on the opposite side of the tongue.
- Insert four bolts through the mounting bracket and straps, ensuring the upper bolts rest on the tongue top and the lower bolts are less than 1/16" from the bottom.
- Secure with locknuts and torque to 25 ft-lbs.
Snap Ring/Bolt-Through Instructions:
- Snap Ring Models: Place the jack bracket over the mount and fully seat the snap ring into the groove.
- Bolt-Through Models: Insert the jack bracket into the recessed opening on the mount. Place the small end of the bushing into the jack bracket and onto the bolt. Tighten the locknut until there is minimal movement.
A-Plate Mounting Instructions (Bolt-On or Weld-On):
- Welding must be performed by an AWS-certified welder.
- Align the jack and foot with the coupler before welding using a 3/16" fillet weld.
- Use three 3/8"-16 grade-5 bolts with washers for bolt-on applications and torque to 15-20 ft-lbs.
- Weld a support plate to the trailer frame with a 3/16" fillet weld if recommended.
Direct-Mount Instructions:
- Position the jack at the desired location and weld 1" at two points on both sides using a 3/16" fillet weld.
