Installation Instructions for 2007 and Newer Toyota Tundra Adapter Kit

- Drill with 17/32” and 1” Drill Bits
- Torque Wrench
- Supplied Pull Wire for Rib Neck Bolts
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Pre-Installation:

Check for Obstructions:
- Inspect for potential hazards such as fuel or brake lines before drilling.

Verify Compatibility:
- This kit is designed for Toyota Tundra trucks with 6.5’ and 8’ beds.
- CrewMax 5.5’ Bed requires a Sidewinder Pinbox Coupler.
Installation:

Position Base Rails:
- Measure from the rear edge of the truck bed to the rear edge of the base rail:
- For all bed lengths: 29 3/4”.
- Measure from the rear edge of the truck bed to the rear edge of the base rail:

Drill Holes in the Truck Bed:
- Drill through the bed sill using a 17/32” drill bit.
- Open up the hole in the truck bed with a 1” drill bit.

Install Tube Spacers:
- Insert tube spacers into drilled holes to prevent crushing the bed sill during bolt torqueing.

Install Brackets:
- Row 3: Attachments go through the inside of the bed sill. Drill through the bed and top of the frame on both sides. Use tube spacers under the bed and align them before inserting carriage bolts.
- Row 4 (Passenger Side): Stack two 1/2” spacers and a bevel washer to fill the gap between the bed and frame. Secure with carriage bolts, conical washers, and hex nuts.

Install Long and Short Brackets:
- Use long brackets for the front rail and short brackets for the rear rail (driver side). Secure with 1-3/4” carriage bolts provided in the kit.
Important Notes:
- Ensure the kingpin center is positioned approximately 3-1/2” forward of the axle center.
- Do not install this kit on a truck with a 5’7” bed unless the trailer is equipped with a Sidewinder Pinbox Coupler.
- Use the optional weld pattern for enhanced durability if required.
Maintenance:
- Periodically check all bolts for proper torque.
- Inspect drilled areas and apply paint to prevent corrosion.
