Installation Instructions for Land Rover LR2

- Wrenches: 5/8”, 11/16”, 22mm
- 6” Ratchet Extension
- Ratchet Swivel
Wiring Access Location:
- SUV1, SUV2
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare Weldnuts:
- Thread M14 bolts into both weldnuts to clean out dirt and rust. Remove the bolts once the threads are clean.

Position the Hitch:
- Raise the hitch over the tailpipe on the driver’s side.
- Loosely install the rearward M14 bolt to support the hitch.

Install Passenger Side Bracket:
- Place the passenger’s side bracket against the existing tie-down bracket on the vehicle.
- Secure with 7/16” hardware as shown in the instructions.

Install Forward M14 Bolts:
- Push the tailpipe forward and rotate the forward M14 bolts to insert them into the weldnuts on the driver’s side frame rail.

Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten all M14 CL8.8 fasteners to 100 lb-ft (136 N·m).
- Tighten all 7/16”-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 lb-ft (68 N·m).
Hardware List:
- (2) Hex Bolts M14 x 2.00 x 120mm CL8.8
- (3) Hex Bolts 7/16”-14 x 1.50 GR5
- (3) Hex Nuts 7/16”-14
- (3) Flat Washers 7/16”
- (3) Lock Washers 7/16”
- (2) Conical Washers 5/8”
Safety Notes:
- Frequently check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Follow safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle, and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
