Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Raise the hitch into position, aligning the holes in the hitch with existing weldnuts in the bottom of the frame.
2. Install M12 bolts into the weldnuts (8 places) and tighten to the specified torque below.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Nissan NV

Tools Required:

• Trim Panel Remover
• 10mm Socket & Ratchet or Wrench
• Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
• 1/4” Socket
• Wire Crimpers
• Wire Cutters
• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Test Probe

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Locate the Vehicle Jack Storage Compartment:

   • Open the rear door and find the jack storage compartment on the passenger’s side.
   • Remove the panel and tire jack to access the harness area.

2. Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:

   • Identify the taillight wiring harness behind each taillight housing.
   • Disconnect the connectors carefully, ensuring the locking tabs are not damaged.

3. Install the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Insert the T-Connector with the green wire between the passenger-side wiring connectors.
   • Ensure connectors are fully inserted and locked.

4. Route the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate.
   • Route the connector containing the green wire along the threshold to the driver’s side of the vehicle.

5. Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Repeat Step 3 using the T-Connector end containing the yellow wire.

6. Ground the White Wire:

   • Find a suitable grounding point near the connectors on the driver’s side.
   • Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

   Caution:

   • Verify the surface behind before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

7. Connect the Power Wire:

   • On the driver’s side, locate the red 12-gauge power wire from the T-Connector box.
   • Attach the provided black 12-gauge wire to the red power wire.

8. Route the Black Power Wire:

   • Route the black wire through a grommet and along the vehicle’s exterior frame or thresholds into the engine compartment, avoiding areas that may pinch or damage the wire.

   Warning:

   • Avoid hot pipes, heat shields, or other areas that may damage the wire.

9. Connect to the Vehicle Battery:

   • Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
   • Attach the provided yellow fuse holder to the positive (+) battery cable using the provided ring terminal.
   • Connect the black wire to the fuse holder using the provided yellow butt connector.
   • Insert the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

10. Reconnect the Battery:

    • Reconnect the negative (-) battery cable.

    Warning:

    • All connections must be complete for the T-Connector to function properly.
    • Test the installation with a test light or trailer to verify functionality.

11. Secure the Wiring:

    • Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-Connector harness, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

12. Reassemble the Vehicle:

    • Replace the threshold, storage covers, floor covering, and other items removed during installation, ensuring no wires are pinched or damaged.

• Max. stop/turn light: 2 per side (4.2 amps)
• Max. tail lights: 7.5 amps
