Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning the holes in the hitch with existing weldnuts in the bottom of the frame.
- Install M12 bolts into the weldnuts (8 places) and tighten to the specified torque below.
Hardware List:
- Qty (8): Hex Bolt – M12 x 1.25 x 39mm CL10.9
Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Nissan NV

- Trim Panel Remover
- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or Wrench
- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
- 1/4” Socket
- Wire Crimpers
- Wire Cutters
- Phillips Head Screwdriver

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Locate the Vehicle Jack Storage Compartment:
- Open the rear door and find the jack storage compartment on the passenger’s side.
- Remove the panel and tire jack to access the harness area.

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- Identify the taillight wiring harness behind each taillight housing.
- Disconnect the connectors carefully, ensuring the locking tabs are not damaged.

Install the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-Connector with the green wire between the passenger-side wiring connectors.
- Ensure connectors are fully inserted and locked.

Route the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate.
- Route the connector containing the green wire along the threshold to the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Repeat Step 3 using the T-Connector end containing the yellow wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Find a suitable grounding point near the connectors on the driver’s side.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution:
- Verify the surface behind before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Connect the Power Wire:
- On the driver’s side, locate the red 12-gauge power wire from the T-Connector box.
- Attach the provided black 12-gauge wire to the red power wire.

Route the Black Power Wire:
- Route the black wire through a grommet and along the vehicle’s exterior frame or thresholds into the engine compartment, avoiding areas that may pinch or damage the wire.
Warning:
- Avoid hot pipes, heat shields, or other areas that may damage the wire.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
- Attach the provided yellow fuse holder to the positive (+) battery cable using the provided ring terminal.
- Connect the black wire to the fuse holder using the provided yellow butt connector.
- Insert the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

Reconnect the Battery:
- Reconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Warning:
- All connections must be complete for the T-Connector to function properly.
- Test the installation with a test light or trailer to verify functionality.

Secure the Wiring:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-Connector harness, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Replace the threshold, storage covers, floor covering, and other items removed during installation, ensuring no wires are pinched or damaged.
