Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare Fasteners:
- Feed all spacers and carriage bolts into position using the pull wires provided in each frame rail. Leave pull wires attached.
- Tip: It is easier to insert the bolt and spacer separately into the frame rail.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning it with the frame rail holes. Feed the pull wires through the adjacent holes on the hitch.

Secure Fasteners:
- Carefully remove the pull wires one at a time. Place a washer over the pull wire and use it to hold the bolt in place while carefully removing the pull wire. Attach the hex nut.

Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten all fasteners to the required torque specifications:
- 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N*m)
- 7/16"-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 lb-ft (68 N*m)
- Tighten all fasteners to the required torque specifications:

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Ford Transit Connect
Part Numbers:

- Trim Panel Remover
- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench
- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
- 1/4” Socket
- Wire Crimpers
- Wire Cutters
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Test Probe
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access the Wiring Connectors:
- Open the rear door and remove the access panel doors on both sides to expose the vehicle’s wiring connectors.

Disconnect the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On the driver’s side, locate and disconnect the wiring harness.
- Plug the T-One® T-Connector with the yellow wire between the mating connectors.
Note: Ensure all connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs secured.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-Connector with the green wire through the trim panel access hole, across the top threshold, and through the passenger-side trim panel access hole.
- Repeat Step 2 on the passenger side using the T-Connector containing the green wire.
Tip: Attach the harness to a fish wire for easier routing.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the driver’s side connectors.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Mount the Black Box:
- Secure the T-One® T-Connector black box to a flat surface using the provided double-sided tape.
- Ensure the epoxy side of the module faces downward to prevent water accumulation.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Locate the black 12-gauge power wire from the T-One® T-Connector box on the driver’s side.
- Connect the provided black wire using the supplied yellow butt connector.
- Route the black wire through a grommet and along the exterior frame or existing wiring to the engine compartment.
Warning: Avoid routing the wire near hot pipes, heat shields, or fuel tanks.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
- Attach the ring terminal to the positive (+) battery cable.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the yellow butt connector.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
Warning: Follow all warnings printed on the tow vehicle’s battery.

Reconnect the Battery:
- Reconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Test the installation with a test light or trailer.
Note: Reset the vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Secure the Wiring:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-One® T-Connector harness, avoiding areas where the wires could pinch, cut, or melt.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Replace the threshold, storage covers, floor covering, and any other items removed during installation.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.
