Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Fascia Removal:
- Use a 7mm socket to remove (4) bolts from the bottom fascia.
- Use a T15 Torx driver and 7mm socket to remove (4) bolts from the wheel well on each side.
- Open the trunk and gently remove the fascia. Set the bumper fascia aside.
2. Bumper Beam Removal:
- Use a 15mm socket to remove (3) flange nuts from the bumper plate on each side.
- Gently remove the bumper beam and set it aside.
3. Hitch Installation:
- Raise the hitch and hang it on the studs on the end panel.
- Raise the bumper beam to sandwich the hitch between the bumper and the end panel.
- Reuse the bumper flange nuts and loosely fasten them.
4. Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all fasteners to 53 lb-ft (72 N·m).
5. Bottom Fascia Trimming:
- Locate the center of the bottom fascia and trim a 4.5" tall by 3.5" wide area using a utility knife.
- Trim additional material if necessary for a proper fit.
6. Reinstall Components:
- Reverse the steps in Step 1 to reinstall all removed fasteners and the fascia.
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect the hitch and all fasteners to ensure a secure fit.
- If the hitch is removed, plug any holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water or exhaust fume entry.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Always wear safety glasses and observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Chevrolet Cruze

- Trim Panel Remover
- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench

- Wire Crimpers
- Wire Cutters

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open the Trunk:
- Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate.
- Partially remove the felt trunk liner behind the taillights.

Locate the Vehicle’s Wiring Harness:
- On both the driver and passenger sides, locate the taillight wiring harness.
- Separate the connectors carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs.
- Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors and lock it into place.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and secured.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the green wire T-Connector behind the panels and along the threshold to the passenger side.
- Repeat Step 3 for the passenger-side T-Connector.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector.
- Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area, then drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Inside the vehicle, connect the black 12-gauge wire to the black wire from the T-One® T-Connector black box using the supplied yellow butt connector.
- Route the black wire through a grommet and along the exterior frame or follow existing wiring into the engine compartment.
Warning: Avoid hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or areas where the wire could pinch or break.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
- Attach the provided ring terminal to the vehicle’s positive (+) battery cable.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the yellow butt connector.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

Reconnect the Battery:
- Reconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Mount the T-One® Black Box:
- Locate a flat surface in an out-of-the-way place and mount the black box using the provided double-sided tape.

Secure the Wiring:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-One® harness, ensuring no wires are pinched, cut, or melted.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Replace the carpet, clips, panels, and threshold removed earlier.
- Ensure no wires are pinched during reassembly.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the trunk area when not in use.
