Installation Instructions for Lexus LX470 and Toyota Land Cruiser

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Tie-Down Brackets and Tow Hook:
- Remove the tie-down brackets on both sides of the vehicle.
- Remove the tow hook from the driver’s side.

Lower Exhaust:
- Detach the two rearmost rubber exhaust hangers to slightly lower the muffler.

Remove Fascia Support Bracket:
- Remove the two Phillips head screws and six metric bolts securing the fascia support bracket.
- Return the bracket to the vehicle owner for potential reinstallation if the hitch is removed in the future.

Reattach Fascia:
- Secure the fascia using the screws and bolts removed in Step 3.

Position Hitch:
- Align the hitch with the existing weld nuts in the vehicle frame.
- Reinstall the tie-down brackets on the opposite sides of the vehicle.
- Reinstall the tow hook on the driver’s side using the longer M14 bolts provided.

Install Carriage Bolt and Block:
- Use a pull wire to fish the carriage bolt and block through the access hole located on the forward side of the crossmember.
- Attach the conical washer and nut to secure the bolt.

Reattach Exhaust:
- Reconnect the two rubber exhaust hangers removed in Step 2.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Tighten all fasteners to the specified torque values:
- M14 CL10.9 bolts: 148 lb-ft (201 N*m)
- M12 CL10.9 bolts: 130 lb-ft (176 N*m)
- 1/2"-13 GR8 fasteners: 110 lb-ft (149 N*m)
- OEM M14 fasteners: 80 lb-ft (108 N*m)
- Tighten all fasteners to the specified torque values:

- M14 CL10.9: 148 lb-ft (201 N*m)
- M12 CL10.9: 130 lb-ft (176 N*m)
- 1/2"-13 GR8: 110 lb-ft (149 N*m)
- OEM M14: 80 lb-ft (108 N*m)
