Installation Instructions for Acura RDX

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Hitch:
- For 2010–2012 models, item 5 is not required (see Figure 1).
- For 2013 and later models, tape item 5 into position at the top of the hitch near the rear-most hole before proceeding (see Figure 2).

Raise the Hitch:
- Lift the hitch into position and align its slots with the existing weldnuts in the vehicle frame rails.

Install M12 Fasteners:
- Secure the hitch using the M12 x 1.25 x 40mm bolts and conical toothed washers through the hitch and into the frame weldnuts.

Insert Handle Nuts:
- Insert the handle nuts into the large holes in the frame rails as shown in Figures 1 and 2.

Install 1/2" Fasteners:
- Attach the hitch using 1/2"-13 x 1.75 bolts and conical toothed washers. Tighten all fasteners to the specified torque values.

Final Adjustments:
- Gently pull down and rearward at the fascia attachment bracket if additional clearance is needed around the hitch cross tube. Be careful not to distort the fascia.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Honda Crosstour and Acura RDX

- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or Wrench

Step-by-Step Instructions:
For Honda Crosstour:

Prepare the Rear Cargo Area:
- Open the rear hatch.
- Temporarily remove all floor coverings and the center storage bin.

Locate the Tow Plug:
- Locate the blue tow plug at the rear of the vehicle under the driver’s side trim panel. The plug is taped to the wire harness with blue tape.
- Insert the T-Connector harness into the vehicle’s tow plug harness and lock it into place.

Insert the Fuse:
- Open the hood and locate the fuse box on the driver’s side.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse provided into the empty fuse slot.

Route the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat connector through the driver’s side trim panel into the side storage compartment. Store the connector there when not in use.

Mount the T-Connector Black Box:
- On the driver’s side, locate a flat surface in an out-of-the-way location.
- Mount the T-Connector’s black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.
For Acura RDX:

Prepare the Rear Cargo Area:

- Temporarily remove all floor coverings, exposing the spare tire compartment.
- Remove the spare tire.
