Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Open the Rear Tailgate and Remove Panels:

   • Remove cargo nets and the cargo floor hatch to access the spare tire area.
   • Remove both taillight housing assemblies by unscrewing two bolts per side and carefully prying the taillight housing away from the vehicle. Be cautious not to break the alignment tabs.

2. Disconnect the Wiring Harness:

   • Locate the taillight wiring harness in the taillight pocket on both sides.
   • Disconnect the harness connectors carefully, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs.

3. Route the T-Connector Wiring:

   • On both sides, slit the grommet to allow the T-Connector wiring to pass through.
   • Route the wiring through the interior trim panels and along the threshold plate to the passenger side.

4. Connect the T-Connector:

   • For the driver’s side, insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the taillight socket and the vehicle wiring harness.

   • Ensure the box is mounted in a dry location away from direct water or liquid exposure.

8. Connect the Power Wire:

   • Route the black 12-gauge wire from the black box to the vehicle’s positive (+) battery cable.
