- Find a suitable grounding point near the harness, such as:
- An existing ground stud, or
- If necessary, drill a 3/32” hole into a metal surface.
- Use the provided eyelet and screw to secure the white ground wire to the grounding point.
- CAUTION: Do not drill into the vehicle floor or bed.
- Clean dirt, rust, or rustproofing from the area before securing.
Step 3: Connect the Adapter
- Plug the brake control adapter into the 5-pin connector of the vehicle’s electric brake control harness.

- Drill with 1/8" drill bit
- Screwdriver or 1/4" Nut Driver
- Wire Stripper/Cutter
- Wire Crimping Tool

Mounting Instructions:

Choose Mounting Location:
- Select a solid surface that is easy for the driver to access.
- Ensure the area behind the mounting location is clear.

Install the Bracket:
- Use the bracket as a template to mark the holes.
- Drill two (2) 1/8" holes at the marked locations.
- Secure the bracket with self-tapping screws.

Attach the Brake Control:
- Slide the Brake Control Unit into the bracket.
- Secure it with the remaining screws.
Wiring Instructions:
- Black Wire: Connect to the 12V positive terminal of the battery using a 30A auto-reset circuit breaker.
- White Wire: Connect to a clean, bare metal ground on the vehicle chassis.
- Red Wire: Connect to the cold side of the stoplight switch (voltage only when the brake pedal is pressed).
- Blue Wire: Connect to the trailer brake wire at the 7-way connector.
