- Do not mount or activate RF-generating devices (e.g., cell phones, radios) within 12 inches of the Brake Control.
- CAUTION: Reversing the connection to a breakaway battery on the trailer will destroy the Brake Control.

- WARNING: Ensure that the Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) never exceeds the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation.

- Disconnect the Black Wire from the battery.
- Wait 5 seconds.
- Reconnect the Black Wire without applying the brake pedal or Manual Slide Knob.

- Remove the adjusting hole cover on the brake backing plate.
- Use an adjusting tool to expand the brake shoes until the wheel is difficult to turn.
