Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove the Fascia Door:

   • Remove and return the fascia door to the vehicle owner.

2. Remove Rear Fascia (if equipped with integrated exhaust outlets):

   • Remove (5) screws inside each wheel well toward the rear.
   • Remove (1) screw on the bottom of the fascia near the wheel well.
   • Detach the rear side of the wheel well trim using fascia removal tools.
   • Remove (1) bolt in the corner of the rear fascia above the wheel well.
   • Underneath the vehicle, remove (1) plastic rivet from the fascia near the center.
   • Open the tailgate, remove (2) bolts and (1) screw along the tailgate seal below the tail lights.
   • Carefully remove the fascia, starting from one wheel well and working around.

3. Lower the Exhaust:

   • Detach the rubber exhaust hangers to lower the rear portion of the exhaust:
     • (2) hangers for single exhaust
     • (4) hangers for dual exhaust.
   • Support the exhaust to prevent damage.

4. Raise the Hitch into Position:

   • Raise the hitch over the exhaust pipes, aligning the slots in the hitch with the weldnuts in the frame rails.

5. Install Side Fasteners:

   • Loosely install M12 bolts and 1/2” conical washers into the existing weldnuts on each side.

6. Install Central Fasteners:

   • Install fasteners in the central receiver bracket with spacers sandwiched between the bracket and bumper:
     • With Bumper Weldnuts: Use (2) M12 bolts and (2) 1/2” conical washers.
     • Without Bumper Weldnuts: Use (2) 1/2” bolts, (2) 1/2” conical washers, and (2) handle nuts.

7. Tighten Fasteners:

   • Tighten all M12 CL10.9 fasteners to 92 lb-ft (125 N·m).
   • Tighten all 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 50 lb-ft (68 N·m).

8. Reattach Exhaust:

   • Raise the exhaust back into position and reattach the hangers:
     • (2) hangers for single exhaust
     • (4) hangers for dual exhaust.

9. Reinstall Rear Fascia (if removed):

   • Reverse the steps from Step 2 to reinstall the rear fascia.

• (6) M12 x 1.75 x 45mm CL10.9 Hex Bolts
• (2) 1/4” x 1” x 2” Spacers
• (6) 1/2” Conical Washers
• (2) 1/2” Handle Nuts

Safety Notes:

• Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
• If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.

• Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for GMC Acadia

Tools Required:

• Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• 7mm Socket & Ratchet or Wrench

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove the Taillight Assemblies:

   • Open the rear door.
   • Remove both taillight housing assemblies by removing the two bolts for each light.
   • Carefully pry the taillight housing assemblies away from the vehicle, being cautious not to break the alignment tabs.

2. Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Disconnect the vehicle wiring harness from the driver’s side taillight socket.
   • Plug the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring harness and the driver’s side taillight socket.

3. Route the T-Connector Wiring:

   • On the driver’s side, route the T-Connector end with the green wire and the 4-flat connector down through the opening between the bumper and the vehicle body.

4. Install the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Route the T-Connector end with the green wire to the passenger’s side and up through the opening.
   • Repeat step 2 on the passenger side using the T-Connector with the green wire.

   Warning:

   • Route the wiring carefully to avoid hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any points that may pinch or damage the wiring.

5. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or cross member. Avoid drilling into the vehicle floor or bed.
   • Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area. Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

   Caution:

   • Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.

6. Reinstall the Taillight Assemblies:

   • Reinstall the taillight housing assemblies, positioning the vehicle wiring harness between the housing and the vehicle body.
   • Secure the remaining T-Connector harness with the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling.

   Note:

   • Mount the 4-flat connector in a suitable location under the vehicle. A mounting bracket is not included.

7. Test the Installation:

   • Test and verify the T-Connector functionality using a test light or trailer.

   Specifications:

   • Max. stop/turn light: 7.5 amps
   • Max. tail lights: 7.5 amps

Part 1: Install the 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Mount the Adapter:

   • Choose a suitable mounting point on the vehicle, typically near the hitch.
   • Use the provided bracket and screws to secure the adapter.

2. Connect the 4-Flat Plug:

   • Plug the 4-flat connector on the adapter into the existing 4-flat plug on the vehicle.
   • This connection enables tail lights, left turn, and right turn signals.

3. Ground the Adapter:

   • Locate a clean, solid grounding point near the adapter.
   • Drill a 3/32" hole if necessary and secure the white ground wire from the adapter using the provided screw and eyelet.

4. Leave Additional Wires Disconnected:

   • The following wires will remain disconnected until Part 2:
     • Black Wire: Power from the battery.
     • Blue Wire: Brake control output.
     • Yellow Wire: Reverse light (optional; leave disconnected unless needed).

5. Test Initial Connection:

   • Use a test light or trailer to verify functionality of the 4-way connections (tail lights, turn signals).

Part 2: Install Brake Control Wiring

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Mount Circuit Breakers:

   • Install two 30A circuit breakers on the firewall or another suitable location near the battery.
   • Use self-tapping screws to mount them securely.

2. Route Power Wires:

   • Connect the black 12-gauge wire from the 7-way adapter to the auxiliary side of one circuit breaker (this powers the 7-way socket).
   • Run a heavy-gauge wire from the battery's positive terminal to the battery side of this circuit breaker, using a ring terminal.
   • Run another heavy-gauge wire from the battery's positive terminal to the auxiliary side of the second circuit breaker (for the brake controller).

3. Install the Brake Controller:

   • Mount the brake controller under the dash on a firm surface.
   • Use the following connections:
     • Red Wire: Connect to the cold side of the brake switch (active only when the brake pedal is pressed).
     • Blue Wire: Connect to the blue wire on the 7-way adapter for trailer brakes.
