Specifications:
- Max Gross Trailer Weight: 2,000 lb. (908 kg)
- Max Tongue Weight: 200 lb. (91 kg)
- Note: Do not exceed towing vehicle manufacturer’s rating.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Plastic Fascia:
- Remove the plastic fascia from underneath the passenger side by removing (2-3) Torx® 25 screws and (2) plastic hex nuts.
- Return the fascia cover to the owner.

Remove Additional Screws:
- Detach the remaining (2) Torx® 25 screws on the passenger side fascia. (Not present on 2011 sedan models.)
-
Lower Exhaust:
- Detach the rubber exhaust isolator ahead of the axle and remove (2) bolts from the exhaust hanger bracket. Support the exhaust as needed.
-
Bend Exhaust Bracket Tabs:
- Bend the two small tabs on the exhaust bracket upward as shown in Figure 2.
-
Lower Fuel Vapor Canister:
- If present, lower the fuel vapor canister on the passenger side for access.
-
Fishwire Bolts and Spacers:
- Use the pull wire to feed the 7/16” carriage bolt and spacer (Items 10 & 11) through the access slot in the passenger-side frame. Leave the pull wire attached.
- Bend the handle nut (Item 3) and insert it into the frame over the center hole. Tape the spacer (Item 9) to the inside of the side bracket.

Raise Hitch into Position:
- Rotate the exhaust bracket out of the way and raise the hitch into place. Thread the pull wire through the spacer and side bracket while lifting the hitch.

Install Fasteners:
- Install the M12 bolt and washer (Items 1 & 2) as shown in the diagram. Rotate the exhaust bracket back into position and install (2) M8 bolts and washers (Items 12 & 13). Remove the 7/16” pull wire and install the 7/16” nut and washer (Items 7 & 8) as shown.

Install Spare Tire Well Fasteners:
- Remove the spare tire and forward rubber plug from the spare tire well. Install the 1/2” bolt and spacer (Items 5 & 6) as shown, applying sealant (not provided) to prevent exhaust and water entry. Secure with the 1/2” nut and washer (Items 4 & 2).

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all fasteners to the specified values:
- 7/16” fasteners: 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M)
- 1/2” fasteners: 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M)
- M8 fasteners: 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N*M)
- M12 fasteners: 68 Lb.-Ft. (92 N*M)
- Torque all fasteners to the specified values:

Reinstall Components:
- Reinstall the spare tire, fuel vapor canister, exhaust isolator, and all required fasteners for fascia attachment.
Hardware List:
- (1) M12 x 1.25 x 30mm Hex Bolt
- (1) 7/16” Conical Washer
- (2) 1/2” Conical Washers
- (1) M12 Handle Nut
- (1) 7/16”-14 x 2.00” Carriage Bolt

- (1) 1/2” Hex Nut
- (2) M8 x 1.25 x 40mm Hex Bolts
- (1) Spacer: 0.438 x 1.00 x 2.00
- (1) Spacer: 0.188 x 1.00 x 3.50
- (1) Spacer: 0.25 x 1.50 x 3.00
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure proper tightening.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Always observe safety precautions and wear eye protection when working beneath the vehicle.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter

Wiring Access Location:
- Near the rear of the vehicle, behind the bumper, or as indicated for vehicle-specific configurations.
Tools Required:
- Drill with a 3/32" drill bit.
- Phillips head #2 screwdriver.
- Wire cutters, wire strippers/crimpers.
- Tester or volt meter.
- Socket and ratchet set.
- Double-sided tape (provided).
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Installation of the Module:

Determine the mounting location for the module.
- Use the provided double-sided tape to secure the module.
- Ensure the epoxy side of the module faces downward to prevent water buildup.

Connect the module’s black wire to a 12-gauge (or larger) power wire using a yellow butt connector.

Locate a suitable grounding point near the module:
- Drill a 3/32" hole if necessary and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and self-tapping screw.
- Clean the grounding area of dirt and rustproofing.
Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.
Routing Power to the Battery:

Route the power wire to the vehicle’s positive battery terminal:
- Use the provided fuse holder, butt connector, and ring terminal to connect to the battery.
- Do not insert the 15-amp fuse yet.
Caution: Ensure the module is connected to a constant power source. Avoid using power sources that are interrupted when the vehicle is off.
Finalizing Installation:

Secure the wiring harness with the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling.
