Installation Time:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Muffler:
- Spray lubricant on the rubber isolators to make them easier to remove.
- Remove two (2) screws from the bottom of the rear fascia using a T15 Torx bit.
- Remove two (2) bolts per exhaust hanger bracket using a 15mm socket and detach the brackets from the hanger tabs.
- Remove the rubber isolator from the hanger in front of the muffler.
- Lower the exhaust one side at a time by pulling on the rear fascia for clearance.
- On the passenger side, if additional clearance is needed, pull the wire harness off the frame and reinstall it after hitch installation.

Install Hardware:
- Feed the coiled end of the pull wire through an attachment hole in the frame and out of the access hole.
- Attach a spacer and carriage bolt to the pull wire and pull the hardware into position (three per side).
- Leave the pull wires attached until the hitch is in place to prevent the hardware from being pushed back into the frame.

Position and Secure the Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, being careful not to push the hardware back into the frame.
- Loosely install the provided conical washers (teeth side facing the hitch) and hex nuts onto the carriage bolts.

Reattach Exhaust:
- Raise the muffler back into place and reattach the brackets and rubber isolators by reversing the steps from Step 1.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all 7/16"-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 ft-lb (68 N*m).
Torque Specifications:
- 7/16"-14 GR5 bolts: 50 ft-lb (68 N*m)
Hardware List:
- (6) Carriage Bolts, 7/16"-14 x 1.50" GR5
- (6) Spacer Blocks, 1/4" x 7/8" x 3"
- (6) Conical Washers, 7/16"
- (6) Hex Nuts, 7/16"-14
- (6) Pull Wires, 7/16"
Safety Notes:
- Frequently check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for GMC Terrain and Chevrolet Equinox

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access the Fuse and Relay Panel:
- Open the rear lift gate and remove the access panel on the driver’s side to locate the fuse and relay panel.
- Locate relay positions K1 and K3:
- If relays are present, the included relays will not be used.
- If no relays are present, install the included relays into positions K1 (Trailer Stop/Turn) and K3 (Trailer Stop/Turn).
Note: If no relay provisions are present (terminals missing from the relay cavity), the T-One without the tow prep package is required.

Locate the Trailer Harness Connector:
- Under the vehicle, behind the rear bumper on the driver’s side, locate the trailer harness connector.

Remove the Protective Cap:
- Remove the protective cap from the connector and store it in the glove compartment along with the installation instructions.
- Ensure the mating surfaces of the connectors are clean and free of dirt. Clean if necessary.

Connect the 6-Pin Tow-Plug Adapter:
- Insert the 6-pin tow-plug adapter into the connector and lock it into place.
- Ensure all connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are secure.

Route and Secure the T-Connector Harness:
- Route the T-Connector harness rearward to the back of the bumper fascia.
- Secure the remainder of the T-One® Connector harness with the provided cable ties, avoiding areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Mount the 4-Flat Connector:
- Mount the 4-flat connector end in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).

Test and Verify Installation:
- Ensure all connections are complete for the T-One® Connector to function properly.
- Test the installation with a test light or trailer. For the initial test, reset the vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.
