Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower the Spare Tire:
- Lower the spare tire to gain access to the vehicle wiring.

Prepare the Rear Cargo Area:
- Open the rear tailgate.
- On the driver’s side, remove the access panels, threshold, trunk floor panels, and trays. Carefully set aside all items removed to avoid damage.
- Remove any necessary trim panel fasteners for access.

Remove Fasteners:
- On the driver’s side, remove the screw in the threshold plate area and two 10mm bolts to gain access behind the trim panel.
- Carefully remove the lower interior trim panels on the driver’s side only.

Expose the Air Baffle and Trailer Input Harness:
- Remove the cover to expose the air baffle and the vehicle’s trailer input harness and grommet.

Locate the Trailer Input Harness:
- Underneath the vehicle on the driver’s side, behind the rear tire, locate the two vehicle trailer input harness connectors and grommet.
- Ensure the connectors and grommet are clean and free of dirt.

Push Connectors and Grommet Into Vehicle:
- Push the grommet and connectors into the vehicle.

Connect the T-Connector:
- Inside the vehicle, locate the trailer input harness connectors. Remove the protective caps from the connectors, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs.
- Insert the T-Connector harness into the vehicle’s tow-plug harness and lock it into place.

Route the 4-Flat Harness:
- Route the 4-flat harness out of the vehicle through the opening exposed in step 6. Seat the grommet into the opening.

Mount the Black Box:
- On the driver’s side, locate a flat surface and mount the T-Connector’s black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.
- Secure the remainder of the T-Connector harness with the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling. Avoid areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Reposition the access panels, trays, trunk floor panels, and threshold.

Route and Secure the 4-Flat Harness:
- Route the 4-flat harness underneath the vehicle to the center. Mount the 4-flat end in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).

Test the Installation:
- Test and verify the installation with a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.
Specifications:
- Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
- Max. tail lights: (5.6 amps)
Safety Notes:
- Route the wiring carefully to avoid hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or any points that may pinch or break the wire.
- All connections must be complete for the T-Connector to function properly.
- Overloading circuits can cause fires. Do not exceed the towing manufacturer’s rating or the unit specifications.
