Installation Instructions for GM Full Size Van

Wiring Access Location:

Notes:
- Hitch requires 5/8" pin and clip if stabilizing pin is not installed.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Insert carriage bolts and blocks through existing access slots and into attachment holes as shown in the diagram for each side.
- Raise the hitch into position and fasten with conical toothed washers and nuts as shown in the diagram for each side.
- Tighten all 1/2” GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m).

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter

Wiring Access Location:
- Rear taillight wiring harness behind the interior trim panels near the doors.
Tools Required:
- Drill with a 3/32" drill bit.
- Philips head screwdriver.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- Remove the rear interior trim panels located near the doors to expose the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.
- The harness will have a connection point on both sides matching the T-Connector adapter.

Driver’s Side Connection:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s wiring harness connectors on the driver’s side, being careful not to damage the locking tabs.
- Plug the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the mating plugs on the driver’s side taillight socket and the vehicle’s wiring harness. Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and locked using the existing and provided locking tabs.

Ground Connection:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or cross member.
- Caution: Do not drill into the vehicle floor or any exposed surfaces. Verify what is behind any surface prior to drilling to avoid damage or injury.
- Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing, drill a 3/32" hole, and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
