Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove Skid Shield:

   • Remove the three M8 bolts securing the skid shield on the underside of the vehicle trunk pan.
   • Retain the skid shield for reinstallation in Step 6.

2. Insert U-Bolt:

   • Insert the 3/8”-16 U-bolt through the vehicle tow hook.

3. Position Hitch:

   • Raise the hitch into position, aligning the U-bolt with the holes in the tow hook bracket on the receiver.

4. Loosely Install Fasteners:

   • Loosely install the 3/8” flat washers, lock washers, and hex nuts on the U-bolt at the tow hook attachment points.

5. Align Components:

   • Align the forward slots on the receiver with the holes in the vehicle crossmember.
   • Align the skid shield slots with the receiver slots, then install the M8 hex bolts and 3/8” conical toothed washers.

6. Secure Rearward Skid Shield Attachment:

   • Place the provided 1/4” x 1” x 1.50” block between the skid shield and the vehicle trunk pan.
   • Install the 3/8” conical toothed washer and M8 hex bolt to secure the rearward skid shield attachment.

7. Tighten Fasteners:

   • Torque all M8 CL8.8 fasteners to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N*M).
   • Torque all 3/8”-16 GR5 fasteners to 30 Lb.-Ft. (41 N*M).

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove Skid Shield:

   • Remove the three M8 bolts securing the skid shield on the underside of the vehicle trunk pan.
   • Retain the skid shield for reinstallation in Step 6.

2. Insert U-Bolt:

   • Insert the 3/8”-16 U-bolt through the vehicle tow hook.

3. Position Hitch:

   • Raise the hitch into position, aligning the U-bolt with the holes in the tow hook bracket on the receiver.

4. Loosely Install Fasteners:

   • Loosely install the 3/8” flat washers, lock washers, and hex nuts on the U-bolt at the tow hook attachment points.

   • Align the forward slots on the receiver with the holes in the vehicle crossmember.
   • Align the skid shield slots with the receiver slots, then install the M8 hex bolts and 3/8” conical toothed washers.

6. Secure Rearward Skid Shield Attachment:

   • Place the provided 1/4” x 1” x 1.50” block between the skid shield and the vehicle trunk pan.
   • Install the 3/8” conical toothed washer and M8 hex bolt to secure the rearward skid shield attachment.

7. Tighten Fasteners:

   • Torque all M8 CL8.8 fasteners to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N*M).
   • Torque all 3/8”-16 GR5 fasteners to 30 Lb.-Ft. (41 N*M).

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Honda Fit, Honda Civic 4 Door, Honda Accord Sedan and Mazda 3

• Phillips head screwdriver
• Trim panel remover
• Drill with 3/32” drill bit
• 1/4” socket

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Access the Rear Cargo Area:

   • Open the trunk or hatch and locate the vehicle’s wiring inside the rear cargo area.
   • Remove the plastic threshold cover, side access panels, carpet panels, and cargo trays as needed.
   • Locate the connection points matching the ends of the T-Connector adapter on the back of each taillight housing.
   • Separate the connectors carefully, ensuring no damage to the locking tabs. Clean all surfaces to remove dirt.

   Note for 2007-2008 Honda Fit:

   • Use the vehicle’s blue 3-pin housing, NOT the green 3-pin housing.

2. Connect the Driver’s Side T-Connector:

   • Attach the T-Connector ends containing the yellow, brown, and red wires to the driver’s side taillight wiring.
   • Ensure connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are secure.

3. Route to the Passenger Side:

   • Route the T-Connector end containing the green wire below the threshold cover to the passenger’s side taillight housing.
   • Repeat step 2 for the passenger’s side using the green wire.

4. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing ground stud.
   • If needed, drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw. Avoid drilling into the vehicle floor or bed. Clean the grounding surface to remove dirt and rustproofing.

   Caution:

   • Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or personal injury.
   • Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

5. Reinstall Trim and Panels:

   • Replace all removed plastic trim panels, the threshold, storage covers, floor covering, and other items.
   • Be careful not to pinch or cut the wires during reassembly.

6. Test the Installation:

   • Verify all connections are complete for proper functionality.
   • Use a test light or trailer to confirm the T-Connector is working properly.

7. Store the 4-Flat Connector:

   • When not in use, store the 4-flat connector in the trunk or hatch area.

   Specifications:

   • Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
   • Max. tail lights: (5 amps)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Access the Rear Cargo Area:

   • Open the trunk or hatch and remove any plastic threshold covers, side access panels, carpet panels, or cargo trays as needed.
   • Locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring connectors behind the trim panels on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides.
   • Carefully disconnect the vehicle’s wiring connectors, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs.
   • Clean the connectors to remove dirt or debris.

   Note for 2007-2008 Honda Fit:

   • Use the blue 3-pin housing for the connection, NOT the green 3-pin housing.

2. Install the Driver’s Side T-Connector:

   • Connect the T-Connector with the yellow, brown, and red wires to the driver’s side taillight wiring harness.
   • Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are secure.

3. Route the T-Connector to the Passenger Side:
