Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Skid Shield:
- Remove the three M8 bolts securing the skid shield on the underside of the vehicle trunk pan.
- Retain the skid shield for reinstallation in Step 6.

Insert U-Bolt:
- Insert the 3/8”-16 U-bolt through the vehicle tow hook.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning the U-bolt with the holes in the tow hook bracket on the receiver.

Loosely Install Fasteners:
- Loosely install the 3/8” flat washers, lock washers, and hex nuts on the U-bolt at the tow hook attachment points.

Align Components:
- Align the forward slots on the receiver with the holes in the vehicle crossmember.
- Align the skid shield slots with the receiver slots, then install the M8 hex bolts and 3/8” conical toothed washers.

Secure Rearward Skid Shield Attachment:
- Place the provided 1/4” x 1” x 1.50” block between the skid shield and the vehicle trunk pan.
- Install the 3/8” conical toothed washer and M8 hex bolt to secure the rearward skid shield attachment.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all M8 CL8.8 fasteners to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N*M).
- Torque all 3/8”-16 GR5 fasteners to 30 Lb.-Ft. (41 N*M).

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Honda Fit, Honda Civic 4 Door, Honda Accord Sedan and Mazda 3

- Trim panel remover
- Drill with 3/32” drill bit
- 1/4” socket
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access the Rear Cargo Area:
- Open the trunk or hatch and locate the vehicle’s wiring inside the rear cargo area.
- Remove the plastic threshold cover, side access panels, carpet panels, and cargo trays as needed.
- Locate the connection points matching the ends of the T-Connector adapter on the back of each taillight housing.
- Separate the connectors carefully, ensuring no damage to the locking tabs. Clean all surfaces to remove dirt.
Note for 2007-2008 Honda Fit:
- Use the vehicle’s blue 3-pin housing, NOT the green 3-pin housing.

Connect the Driver’s Side T-Connector:
- Attach the T-Connector ends containing the yellow, brown, and red wires to the driver’s side taillight wiring.
- Ensure connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are secure.

Route to the Passenger Side:
- Route the T-Connector end containing the green wire below the threshold cover to the passenger’s side taillight housing.
- Repeat step 2 for the passenger’s side using the green wire.

- Locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring connectors behind the trim panels on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides.
- Carefully disconnect the vehicle’s wiring connectors, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs.
- Clean the connectors to remove dirt or debris.
Note for 2007-2008 Honda Fit:
- Use the blue 3-pin housing for the connection, NOT the green 3-pin housing.
