Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Exhaust Hangers:
- Detach exhaust hangers on both sides. Apply lubricant to the metal hanger rod and rubber isolator to ease removal.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Insert two (2) 4-1/2” hex bolts and blocks through the frame and hitch on both sides.
- Install conical washers and 1/2” hex nuts. Hand-tighten only.

Install Carriage Bolts and Blocks:
- Use the provided fishwire to guide the carriage bolt and block through the square hole forward on the frame. Keep the bolt and block separate until they are inside the frame.
- Install conical washers and 1/2” nuts. Hand-tighten only.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Tighten all (4) 1/2” fasteners to the specified torque:
- Hex bolts: 40 Lb.-Ft.
- Carriage bolts: 75 Lb.-Ft.
- Tighten all (4) 1/2” fasteners to the specified torque:

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Trailer Wiring Harness

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Taillight Assemblies:
- Open the trunk to access the taillight assemblies.
- Remove the plastic wing nuts (2 per side) located behind the taillights inside the trunk.
- Carefully pry the taillight housings away from the vehicle without breaking the alignment tabs.

Access Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both the driver’s side and passenger’s side, locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.
- Disconnect the wiring harness carefully, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs.

Install the T-Connector:
- On the driver’s side, connect the T-Connector with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring harness connectors.
- Also, connect the T-Connector with the brown and red wires on the driver’s side.
- Ensure connectors are fully seated, and locking tabs are engaged.

Route the Green and 4-Flat Wires:
- Route the wiring harness with the green wire and 4-Flat connector through the opening behind the driver’s side taillight.
- Route the 4-Flat connector to the center of the vehicle under the bumper.
- Run the harness with the green wire under the vehicle and up to the passenger’s side taillight.
Warning: Avoid hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or any other components that may pinch or damage the wire.

Install Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Connect the T-Connector with the green wire to the passenger-side taillight wiring harness.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector (e.g., vehicle frame).
- Clean the area to remove dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided screw and eyelet.
Caution: Ensure no damage occurs to the vehicle. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Connect Power Wire:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
- Cut the fuse holder wire and attach the ring terminal to one end.
- Secure the ring terminal to the positive battery terminal.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black power wire using the yellow butt connector.

Route the Power Wire:
- Route the black power wire from the battery along the frame to the rear of the vehicle.
- Connect the black power wire to the red power wire on the T-Connector black box using the yellow butt connector.
Warning: Avoid hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or sharp edges during routing.

Reinstall the Fuse:
- Reconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable.
- Insert the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
Warning: All connections must be complete for the T-Connector to function properly. Test the installation with a trailer or test light.

Secure the Black Module:
- Mount the T-Connector black box on the driver’s side using the provided double-sided tape.
- Secure any remaining wiring with cable ties to prevent rattling or damage.

Reassemble Vehicle Components:
- Reinstall the taillight housings, ensuring the T-Connector wiring harness is positioned between the housing and the vehicle body.

Mount the 4-Flat Connector:
- Mount the 4-Flat connector in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).
Specifications:
- Stop/Turn Lights: 2.1 amps maximum per side
- Taillights: 4.2 amps maximum
