Installation Instructions for Cadillac SRX
Part Numbers:

Tools Required:
- Wrenches: 19mm, 10mm (deep well socket)
- Small Flat Head Screwdriver
- Phillips Tip Screwdriver
Wiring Access Location:
- SUV3, SUV4
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Fascia Door:
- Use a Phillips tip screwdriver to remove the fascia door from the bumper fascia (two screws).
- Remove the four (4) plastic rivets fastening the fascia tabs to the plastic spacer block.
- Note: Pull out the center post of each rivet first with a screwdriver, then push the rivet out by hand. Save the rivets for reinstallation.

Remove Plastic Spacer Block:
- Use a 10mm socket to remove the plastic spacer block that was attached to the bumper fascia. Save the block for reinstallation.

Move Electrical Wiring Harness:
- Carefully pull the electrical wiring harness located inside the driver’s side rail away from the rail during hitch installation.

Install the Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, lifting it over the fascia as needed.
- Secure the hitch to the impact bumper using M12 bolts and conical washers in the existing weld nuts.
- Install remaining fasteners as shown.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M12 CL8.8 fasteners to 68 lb-ft (92 N·m).

Reinstall Components:
- Reattach the plastic spacer blocks and the four (4) plastic fascia rivets removed in Steps 1 and 2.
Hardware List:
- (6) M12 x 1.75 x 40mm CL8.8 Hex Bolts
- (6) Conical Washers 1/2”
Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Follow safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle, and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Locate the Vehicle’s Factory Tow Harness Connector:
- The connector is located behind the bumper and will have a connector that matches the tow plug.

Prepare and Connect the Tow Plug:
- Remove the protective cap from the factory tow harness connector.
- Ensure the mating surface is clean and free of dirt or debris. Clean if necessary.
- Insert the tow plug into the connector. Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and locked in place.
Warning:
- All connections must be complete for the T-Connector to function properly.
- Test and verify the installation with a test light or trailer after completing the installation.

Secure Loose Wires:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure all loose wires and prevent damage.
Warning:
