Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Bottom Panel and Mud Flap Removal:
- Use a Phillips screwdriver, panel removal tool, and 10 mm socket to remove three rivets and two bolts from the bottom panel on the driver side.
- Remove the mud flap on each side, if present.
- Retain the bottom panel and mud flaps for reinstallation.
2. Bumper Fascia Removal:
- Remove two plastic rivets from the center bottom fascia using a panel removal tool.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver and 10 mm socket to remove four bolts from each wheel well liner.
- Open the trunk and remove two screws from each side using 3/16" hex bits.
- Use plastic trim tools to gently remove the plastic fascia, starting from the wheel well edges.
- Disconnect the fascia wiring if equipped.
3. Bumper Beam Removal:
- Use a 14 mm socket to remove four factory bolts from the bumper beam and set them aside for reinstallation.
4. Hitch Installation:
- Tape four flat washers (#1) to the end panel where the holes are located.
- Tape one spacer block (#2) to the hitch tab on each side.
- Raise the hitch above the exhaust pipe and loosely install:
- M10 bolts (#5) and 3/8" conical washers (#6) to the upper attachment holes on the end panel.
- M12 bolts (#3) and 1/2" conical washers (#4) to the frame rails.
- Raise the bumper beam to sandwich the hitch and loosely secure it with the remaining M10 fasteners in the lower attachment holes.
5. Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all M10 fasteners to 59 lb-ft (80 N·m).
- Torque all M12 fasteners to 76 lb-ft (103 N·m).
6. Bumper Beam Height Adjustment:
- Use a hammer to bend the three raised brackets on the bumper beam, reducing the height by approximately 1/4".
- Trim the foam piece to fit on the bumper beam.
7. Bottom Fascia Trimming:
- Locate the center of the bottom panel and trim an area 3.0" tall by 8.5" wide.
- Trim the fascia area above the muffler.
8. Reinstallation:
- Reinstall all fasteners, fascia, appearance bottom panel, and mud flaps removed in Steps 1 and 2.

- 2 × Spacer Blocks (#2) – 0.375" × 1.50" × 3.00"
- 2 × M12 Bolts (#3) – 1.25 × 45 mm, Class 8.8

- 4 × M10 Bolts (#5) – 1.25 × 40 mm, Class 10.9
- 4 × Conical Washers (#6) – 3/8"
Safety Notes:
- Always wear safety glasses during installation.
- Proper torque is essential to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
