Remove Spare Tire:
- Remove the spare tire for installation. Refer to the vehicle owner's manual for instructions.

Trim Exhaust Flap:
- Locate the flap near the exhaust muffler outlet and trim as needed.

Remove Underbody Panels:
- If present, remove plastic appearance panels covering the driver and passenger side frame rails.
- Use a small screwdriver to remove the plastic rivets fastening fascia tabs to the appearance panel.
- The passenger side panel can be reinstalled; return the driver's side panel and fasteners to the owner or trim as needed.

- Install M12 bolts and conical washers (teeth side toward hitch) to the frame rails.

- Tighten all M12 CL8.8 bolts to 76 ft-lbs (103 Nm) using a torque wrench.

Reinstall Panels and Spare Tire:
- Reinstall the trimmed underbody panels using the original hardware and reinstall the spare tire.
