Step-by-Step Instructions:
Pre-2011 Models:
- Lower the exhaust by removing (2) exhaust hanger isolators per side using a 13 mm socket. For dual exhaust models, remove both sides.
- Tip: Spray lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rods and rubber isolators to ease removal.
- Run the M12 bolt into the existing weld nut to clean dirt or debris from the weld nut.
- Fishwire the 1/2" carriage bolts and spacers through the access holes on the driver and passenger frame rails. Pull the hardware through the existing attachment holes (2 on the passenger side, 1 on the driver side).
- Raise the hitch into position by sliding it over the mufflers. Loosely install the M12 bolt and conical washer (teeth side against hitch) into the existing weld nut.
- Install the 1/2" conical washers (teeth side against hitch) and 1/2" nuts onto the carriage bolts.
- Torque all 1/2" fasteners to 75 ft-lbs (102 N·m) and the M12 bolt to 68 ft-lbs (92 N·m).
- Reinstall the exhaust hangers.
2011 and Newer Models:
- Raise the vehicle at least 20" (from the bottom of the fascia to the ground).
- Remove the plastic appearance panels covering the trunk pan on Chrysler 300/300C models. Return panels and fasteners to the vehicle owner.
- Lower the exhaust by removing (2) exhaust hangers per side with a 13 mm socket. Push the muffler upward and outward for clearance.
- Tip: Additional clearance can be obtained by removing the forward rubber isolators on the exhaust pipes ahead of the trunk pan.
- For V8 models:
- Remove and save the (2) assembly bolts and springs from the flange.
- Carefully remove the muffler on the driver side.
- For V6 models:
- Remove and save the band clamp and separate the exhaust pipes.
- Remove the muffler on the driver side.
- Run the M12 bolt into the existing weld nut to clean dirt or debris.
- Fishwire the 1/2" carriage bolts and spacers through the access holes on the driver and passenger frame rails. Pull the hardware through the existing attachment holes (2 on the passenger side, 1 on the driver side).
- Raise the passenger side bracket into place over the muffler. Loosely install the M12 bolt and conical washer through the bracket into the driver-side frame rail. Install the 1/2" conical washers (teeth side against hitch) and 1/2" nuts onto the carriage bolts.
- Torque all 1/2" fasteners to 75 ft-lbs (102 N·m) and the M12 bolt to 68 ft-lbs (92 N·m).
- Reinstall the exhaust hangers.
- Reinstall wiring and bumper fascia.

Safety Notes:
- Always wear safety glasses during installation.
- Check the hitch periodically to ensure all fasteners and the hitch ball are secure.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball before use.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Dodge Charger
Part Numbers:

- Trim Panel Remover
- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench
- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
- 1/4” Socket
- Wire Crimpers
- Wire Cutters

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access the Rear Cargo Area:
- Open the trunk and remove the threshold panel.
- Partially remove the felt trunk liner on both sides to expose the taillight wiring harness.

Remove Interior Components:
- On the driver and passenger sides, remove two Torx-25 screws and cargo loops.
-
Install the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s wiring connectors on the passenger side.
- Attach the T-One® T-Connector with the green wire to the corresponding connectors.
- Ensure all connectors are fully inserted and locking tabs are secure.
Note: If the vehicle has an optional subwoofer, it must be removed using a Torx-30 driver to access the connection point.

Route the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-Connector with the yellow wire down the threshold to the driver’s side.
- Push the wiring between the vehicle body and carpet. Repeat step 3 for the driver’s side T-Connector.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the driver-side connector.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire with the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Check behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Locate the battery inside the vehicle’s trunk.
- Connect the black 12-gauge wire to the black wire from the T-One® T-Connector black box using the yellow butt connector.

Install the Fuse Holder:
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
- Attach the ring terminal of the fuse holder to the positive (+) battery cable.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the yellow butt connector.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

Reconnect the Battery:
- Reconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Mount the T-Connector Black Box:
- Near the center of the vehicle, below the trunk threshold, clean a flat surface using rubbing alcohol and water.
- Mount the T-One® T-Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.

Secure the Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the remaining T-Connector harness, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Replace the felt trunk liner, threshold, and any clips or panels removed during installation, ensuring no wires are pinched or damaged.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the trunk when not in use.
