Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Muffler:
- Spray lubricant on the rubber hangers to ease removal.
- Ensure the exhaust is supported before removing the rubber hangers.
- Remove the following:
- (2) screws from the bottom of the rear fascia using a T15 Torx bit.
- (2) bolts from each rear exhaust hanger bracket using a 15 mm socket.
- Rubber isolator from the hanger in front of the muffler.
- Lower the exhaust one side at a time by gently pulling on the rear fascia.
- If needed, pull the wire harness off the passenger-side frame for additional clearance. Reinstall it after hitch installation.

Install Hardware:
- Feed the coiled end of the pull wire through an attachment hole in the frame and out through the access hole.
- Attach carriage bolts and spacers to the pull wire and pull them into position (3 per side). Leave the pull wire attached until the hitch is raised.

Install Hitch:
- Carefully raise the hitch into position without pushing the hardware back into the frame.
- Loosely install conical washers (teeth side toward the hitch) and hex nuts onto the carriage bolts.

Reinstall Muffler:
- Reverse the steps from Step 1 to reinstall the muffler.

Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten all 7/16-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 ft-lbs (68 Nm) using a torque wrench.

- (6) Spacer Block 1/4” x 7/8” x 3” (PN: HE-2370-000)
- (6) Conical Washer 7/16” (PN: 01292007)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Chevrolet Equinox

- Trim Panel Remover
- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or Wrench

- Wire Cutters

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove the Taillight Assemblies:
- Open the rear tailgate to access the bolts securing the taillights.
- Remove the two Torx T10 screws on both the driver and passenger sides.
- Carefully pull the taillight housings away from the vehicle without damaging the alignment pins. Set them aside.

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both sides of the vehicle, locate the taillight wiring harness.
- Disconnect the connectors carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs. Clean the connector surfaces of dirt.

Mount the T-Connector Black Box:
- Determine a suitable mounting point behind the rear bumper fascia on the driver’s side.
- Mount the T-Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
- Ensure the module’s epoxy side faces downward to prevent water accumulation.

Route the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-Connector end with the yellow wire through the opening between the bumper and the vehicle body into the driver’s side taillight pocket.
- Connect the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the taillight socket and the vehicle wiring harness.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-Connector end with the green wire underneath the bumper to the passenger side.
- Route the wire up through the opening on the passenger side and into the taillight pocket, avoiding hot pipes, heat shields, or fuel tanks.
- Connect the T-Connector end with the green wire between the taillight socket and the vehicle wiring harness.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle frame.
- Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

Route the Power Wire:
- Locate the black 12-gauge power wire from the T-Connector box.
- Attach the provided black wire and route it along the exterior frame to the engine compartment, avoiding hot pipes and areas that could pinch the wire.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
- Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable and connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the provided yellow butt connector.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
- Install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer. Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Secure the Wiring Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-One® Connector harness, avoiding areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat connector to the center of the vehicle and mount it in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).
