Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Prepare the Vehicle:
- Clean the weldnuts on the frame rails using an M12 x 1.25 tap to ensure they are free of debris, dirt, or rust.
2. Position the Hitch:
- Carefully raise the hitch into position, ensuring the brackets slide above the exhaust pipe.
- Align the holes on the hitch brackets with the weldnuts on the frame rails.
3. Install the Bolts:
- Loosely install the provided M12 bolts with conical washers into the frame rail weldnuts. Ensure the washers’ teeth face the hitch.
4. Torque the Fasteners:
- Using a torque wrench, tighten all M12 fasteners to 76 lb-ft (103 N·m).

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Infiniti QX50

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove the Taillight Assemblies:
- Open the rear tailgate to access the bolts securing the taillights.
- On both the driver and passenger sides, remove the two 10mm screws holding the taillights in place.
- Carefully pull the taillights away from the vehicle, avoiding damage to the alignment pins.
- Remove the taillight housing and set it aside.

Locate the Vehicle’s Wiring Harness:
- On both sides of the vehicle, locate the taillight wiring harness.
- Disconnect the connectors carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs.
- Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

Mount the T-One® Black Box:
- Underneath the vehicle, determine a suitable mounting point behind the rear bumper fascia on the driver’s side.
- Mount the T-One® T-Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
- Ensure the trailer harness has sufficient length to reach the mounting point.
Warning: Mount the black box in a protected area to avoid damage from road debris or objects. Ensure the epoxy side faces downward to prevent water accumulation.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Fish the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wires up between the bumper and vehicle body into the driver’s side taillight pocket.
- Connect the yellow wire end between the taillight socket and the vehicle wiring harness.

Route and Connect the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-One® Connector end with the green wire across the bumper to the passenger side.
- Insert the green wire connector through the opening on the passenger side and connect it between the passenger-side taillight socket and the vehicle wiring harness.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or crossmember.
- Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.

Route the Power Wire:
- Locate the black 12-gauge power wire from the T-One® T-Connector box on the driver’s side.
- Attach the provided black wire and route it along the vehicle’s exterior frame or existing wiring to the engine compartment, avoiding hot pipes, heat shields, or other hazards.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder. Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable and secure it.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the provided yellow butt connector.
Warning: Follow all warnings printed on the vehicle’s battery.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable and install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer to verify functionality.

Secure the Wiring Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-One® T-Connector harness, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Route the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat connector underneath the bumper to the vehicle’s center and mount it in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).
