Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Taillights
- Open the liftgate.
- Remove the two screws holding the taillight.
- Pull the light rearward gently but firmly and unplug the wiring connector.

Remove Wheel Well Trim
- Use plastic trim tools to gently pry and pull the upper wheel well trim away from the vehicle.
- Take care not to scratch the vehicle.

Remove Fascia
- Remove the screw under the wheel well trim just removed.
- Remove four screws from the bottom of the rear fascia.
- Remove the screws from the fascia in the area under the liftgate (one on each side).
- Remove three screws from each side inside the wheel well area. For 2019 and newer models, cut or drill out the plastic rivet at the bottom of the wheel well.
- Using plastic trim tools, gently pry the fascia away from the vehicle starting at the wheel well.
- Unplug any wiring connectors and set the fascia aside.

Remove Impact Bar
- Remove the two bolts from the tow hook and set them aside for reinstallation.
- Remove three bolts from each side of the vehicle frame (two from the outer frame and one from the bottom of the frame).
- Pry plastic wiring fasteners from the frame in the area of the hitch installation.
- Return the impact bar to the vehicle owner.

Install Hitch
- Raise the hitch into position and insert it into the vehicle frame.
- Align the holes in the hitch bracket with the bolt holes from the impact bar.
- Use the supplied pull wires to insert the carriage bolts and spacers through the access hole in the vehicle frame, hitch, and vehicle frame. Refer to Figure 2.
- Remove the pull wires and install the conical washers (teeth side toward the hitch) and nuts. Refer to Figure 1.
- Place the tow hook on top of the bracket near the left side of the hitch. Align the holes in the tow hook with the holes in the bracket and reinstall the fasteners removed earlier. Torque to 59 ft-lb (80 N*m).
- Tighten all 1/2”-13 Gr 8 fasteners with a torque wrench to 110 ft-lb (150 N*m).

Reinstall Fascia and Taillights
- Reinstall the fascia and taillights in reverse order of steps 1 through 3.
- Be sure to reconnect all electrical connectors.

- (4) 1/4"x1"x3" Spacers
- (4) 1/2" Conical Washers
- (4) 1/2" GR2H Hex Nuts
- (4) 1/2"-13 Pull Wires
Safety Notes:
- Always wear safety glasses during installation.
- Regularly check that all fasteners are tight and the hitch is securely mounted.
- Do not cut, weld, or modify the trailer hitch.
- Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended towing capacity.
