Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Underbody Panel:
- Remove two (2) M6 bolts from the driver-side frame rail.
- Retain the panel for reinstallation over the hitch.

Lower Exhaust:
- Using exhaust removal pliers or a prybar, detach the rubber exhaust hangers from the front of the muffler, behind the muffler, and near the rear axle.
- Ensure the exhaust is supported to prevent damage.

Trim Heat Shield:
- Remove four (4) screws holding the heat shield to the vehicle using a 10mm socket.
- Use tin snips to trim the heat shield as shown in the installation diagram.
- Reinstall the trimmed heat shield, omitting the rearmost M6 bolt for proper clearance.

Fishwire Fasteners:
- Remove four (4) hole plugs from each frame rail.
- Use fish wires to pull spacers and 7/16" carriage bolts through the access holes and into position in the frame rails. Refer to the manual's example.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position over the muffler and underbody panel.
- Align the attachment holes in the hitch with the frame rail holes.
- Loosely install the provided hex nuts and conical washers (teeth side toward the hitch) onto the bolts.

Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten all 7/16"-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 ft-lb (68 N*m) using a torque wrench.

Reinstall Exhaust and Underbody Panel:
- Raise the exhaust back into position and reattach the hangers removed in Step 2.
- Reinstall the underbody panel, securing it with the supplied M6 bolts into the weldnuts on the frame rail.
Torque Specifications:
- 7/16"-14 GR5 bolts: 50 lb-ft (68 N*m)
Hardware List:
- (6) Carriage Bolts, 7/16"-14 x 1.50" GR5
- (6) Spacer Blocks
- (6) Conical Washers, 7/16"
- (6) Hex Nuts, 7/16"-14
- (6) Fish Wires, 7/16"
- (2) Flange Hex Bolts, M6 x 1.0 x 35mm
Safety Notes:
- Frequently check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
