Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove Taillight Covers:

   • Open the tailgate. Using a flat head screwdriver, remove (1) push rivet from the trim piece near the driver-side taillight.
   • Use plastic trim tools to gently pull off the trim piece and set it aside for reuse. Repeat on the passenger side.

2. Remove Rear Bumper Fascia:

   • Bottom Center: Use a T15 star driver to remove (4) screws. Set fasteners aside for reinstallation.
   • Top Fascia Area: Use a T20 star driver to remove (2) screws near the trunk weatherstrip.
   • Wheel Wells: On the driver side, use a T15 star driver to remove (3) screws from the rear side of the wheel well trim. Repeat on the passenger side.
   • Disconnect Lights: Detach the light on the wheel well trim before partially removing the fascia on both sides.
   • Hidden Screws: Using a 7mm socket, pull back the wheel well trim and remove (1) screw from both sides.
   • Carefully disconnect all wiring harnesses from the fascia and set the fascia aside safely.

3. Remove Bumper Beam:

   • Use a 15mm socket with a 6” extension to remove (4) M10 bolts and (4) M10 flange nuts.
   • Lower the exhaust hanger bracket gently before fully removing the bumper beam. Return the bumper beam to the vehicle owner and set bolts and nuts aside for reuse.

4. Install Hitch:

   • Raise the hitch into position and align the holes with the studs in the end panel.
   • Raise the exhaust hanger bracket back into position and loosely reinstall the (4) existing M10 bolts and (4) M10 flange nuts.
   • Tighten all M10-1.50 fasteners to 53 lb-ft (72 N·m) using a torque wrench.

5. Trim Fascia:

   • Locate the center of the fascia. Use a tape measure, marker, and utility knife to cut a notch in the bottom of the fascia approximately 4.25” wide by 3.5” tall.
   • Ensure the area is clear of electrical wiring before trimming.

6. Reinstall Fascia:

   • Reconnect all wiring first. Then reinstall the fascia, wheel well trim lights, and taillight covers using the original hardware removed in Steps 1 and 2.

Safety Notes:

• Regularly check all fasteners to ensure the hitch and ball mount are secure.
• If the hitch is removed, plug any holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water or exhaust fume entry.
• Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
• Wear safety glasses and follow precautions when working beneath the vehicle.
• Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Locate the Trailer Harness Connector:

   • Underneath the vehicle, locate the trailer harness connector behind the rear bumper, between the driver’s side and the center of the vehicle.
   • The harness will have a protective cap matching the end of the T-One® Connector.

2. Remove the Protective Cap:

   • Remove the protective cap from the trailer harness connector.
   • Store the cap in the glove compartment along with the installation instructions.
   • Ensure the mating surfaces of the connectors are free of dirt and clean if necessary.

3. Connect the T-One® Harness:

   • Insert the 4-Pin Tow-Plug Adapter into the trailer harness connector and lock it into place.
   • Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are engaged.

4. Route the T-One® Connector Harness:

   • Route the T-One® Connector harness rearward to the back of the bumper fascia.
   • Secure the remaining harness using the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling, avoiding areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

5. Mount the 4-Flat Connector:

   • Mount the 4-flat connector in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).

6. Test the Installation:

   • Ensure all connections are complete for the T-One® T-Connector to function properly.
   • Test the installation with a test light or trailer.
   • Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.
